Ah, Lobo, the Main Man himself. He's a one-of-a-kind character, and he knows it. Let me give you an introduction to this interstellar bounty hunter... One that will most likely make you chuckle.

First off, let's talk about his appearance. Lobo is a towering figure with bright, blue skin and a shock of white hair. He's got muscles on top of muscles and a mean scowl that could scare off even the toughest of foes. And that's not even mentioning the fact that he's usually sporting a spiky, black leather vest that would make even the most hardcore bikers jealous.

Despite his tough-guy exterior, Lobo has a bit of a sensitive side. In fact, he's a big fan of dolphins (yes, you read that right), and has even been known to shed a tear or two when they're in danger. Of course, he'll still rip your arms off if you mess with him, but hey, at least he's got a soft spot for marine life, right?

In terms of personality, Lobo is pretty much the definition of a loose cannon. He's vulgar, violent, and has a bit of a tendency to go off the rails at the slightest provocation. He's not exactly what you'd call a team player, either - in fact, he's pretty much the opposite. But hey, at least he's entertaining to watch, right?

All in all, Lobo is a larger-than-life character with a ton of attitude and a love for dolphins that's as unexpected as it is endearing. He's not someone you'd want to cross, but if you can stay on his good side, you might just get a laugh out of him (or a punch in the face, but hey, it's all part of the fun).

Introducing Lobo

Lobo's comic book origin story is a wild ride full of gore and humor. It begins on the planet of Czarnia, where Lobo was born as the last surviving member of his species.

According to the comics, Lobo was born as a peaceful and gentle soul, with a love for animals and a desire to become a musician. However, as he grew older, he began to realize that the other members of his species were violent and destructive and that they cared only for power and conquest.

One day, Lobo had finally had enough of his violent people and decided to take matters into his own hands. He unleashed his fury on the entire planet, wiping out every living thing and reducing Czarnia to a lifeless husk. This act of destruction earned him the title of "The Main Man," and he became known throughout the galaxy as the most feared and dangerous bounty hunter in the universe.

Throughout his adventures, Lobo has continued to display his love for violence and gore, often using his immense strength and unbreakable skin to rip his enemies limb from limb. However, he also has a dark sense of humor, often cracking jokes and taunting his foes even as he's beating them to a pulp.

In many of his comic book appearances, Lobo's humor and love of gore are on full display. He's not afraid to use his brutality to get the job done, but he's also not above making a sarcastic comment or a crude joke to lighten the mood.

Overall, Lobo's origin story is a perfect mix of gore and humor, showcasing his violent tendencies and twisted sense of humor. It's the kind of story that could only come from the twisted mind of the Main Man himself.

Bringing Lobo To The Big Screen

There is a lot of teasing going on with The Main Man being cast by one of his biggest supporters, Jason Momoa. He's mentioned how he owns every issue of the bounty hunters! If you're looking for a Lobo comic book series that would make a great movie with humor, then it's definitely recommended to get a look at Lobo: The Last Czarnian mini-series from 1990.

This series tells the story of Lobo's origin as the last surviving member of his race, and how he goes on a rampage to avenge the destruction of his home planet of Czarnia. The series is filled with over-the-top action, humor, and a healthy dose of gore.

What makes this series particularly great for a movie adaptation is the humor. Lobo's irreverent attitude and outrageous behavior lend themselves perfectly to a comedic action movie. The series is full of hilarious one-liners and absurd situations, from Lobo's obsession with his beloved space dolphins to his tendency to kill anyone who looks at him the wrong way.

Additionally, the series features a colorful cast of characters, including a group of intergalactic assassins who Lobo must face off against. Each character has their own unique personality and quirks, which would make for some great comedic moments.

Overall, Lobo: The Last Czarnian would make a fantastic movie with humor. It's got everything you could want from a Lobo story - action, humor, gore, and a great cast of characters. Plus, with the right director and cast, it could be an absolute blast to watch on the big screen.

What are your thoughts? Are you a fan of The Main Man and anxiously anticipate his arrival at the DCU? Let's hear you down in the comments!

Wonder if they will actually cast Jason in this, dc doesn't seem to be doing an actual reboot. So will he be Lobo and Aquaman?

@Taonrey - As long as they put tons of over the top prosthetics (90´s dick tracy style, maye touch it up with CG but just a little) to his face and modulate his voice in post, Im fine with him playing both roles simultaneously

@Taonrey - Both Jason and James already confirmed he is Aquaman, and he wont be playing two characters.

Animated show made by the team behind the Harley Quinn animated show...and I guess you can have Jason Momoa do the voice.

I hope it’s the classic Lobo and not the crappy New52 Lobo.

What a joke. 🤣

I think he could show up in Lanterns then make his way to the big screen.

@marvel72 - that could work. Like that even better than having him show up in a movie like Superman

@marvel72 - I concur as of right now with what we know from Gunn's initial plans I'd say that's prob the best bet if we are going to have him at all in the near future.

@HAUSMAN01 - he needs to be a selfish piece of shit that’s in the GL way but isn’t a direct threat.

I always thought Quentin Tarantino would be the perfect director for Lobo. The violence and gore would be perfect but I dont think the humor matches well

Superman TAS handled it perfectly.

Forget Aquadork.

Alan Richson would be a great Lobo.

@DocSpock - Alan Ritchson also played Aquaman many years ago in Smallville
