OT:

But Toy Story 4 is sounding fantastic, just hearing/reading the reviews along with learning more about the story is getting me excited. I was legit worried and now it seems that Toy Story will be hailed as the greatest quadrilogy now lmao

I dig the Batman '89 style logo, and I'm sure Chris and Tessa are good but the whole idea of MIB International breaks the trope of secret government agents covering up aliens in the American Southwest, a riff on Roswell, (popularized in the 90's). I'm not sure it ever had a chance of working if they dispense with the original trope and just make it generic sci-fi.

Were we supposed to know she was in this movie? I had no idea until now.

Is this really a reboot? If so, why?

Unless reboot can mean the previous movie(s) still exist, but we're simply following different characters now. That would make sense to me.

I might even be interested in it if that's the case. This is important to me though, for some reason.

I figured out the reason. Because the first is a classic and it doesn't sound like they know how to top it. And if you can't top it, why try replacing it?
