Gentle Giant has announced that their life size Darth Vader is now up for pre-order.  The statue is 6'9'' tall and is digitally scanned from a 3 3/4 inch vintage Kenner action figure.  It has an extending lightsaber and vinyl cape.  This amazing piece is priced at $2,600 and available for a 2015 release date.

its copied off the original 70's version, they ain't gonna change it, that's not the point. :p

Looks cool in a retro looking way but...

Not at that price and you'd need a big ass house or mansion if you wanted to collect 'em all and be RICH!

I still have that exact toy. It's the original Vader from the very first toyline in the '70s. Damn I'm old.

I can understand what they're going for with this, but that doesn't change the fact that that looks ugly as [frick]. The quality definitely doesn't come close to the price they're asking for.

When I 1st saw this, I was like "cool". But now after a bit and re-looking at it, I have to agree with most of you. For that price, I'd rather have a life size movie version. And wont the Vinyl cape tear like the toy did? I guess it would be okay if you have money to burn or if you are a giant and really want to get your giant kid a Christmas gift or something then it be okay.
