Im gonna rock with this. I like Luke Evans. Hope it does decent, tho its a bit ballsy making a movie in Bram Stoker's Dracula's shadow.

This isn't a horror film. It looks more like a superhero film. A guy wants to save some people so he becomes a vampire and gets vampire powers.

The only vampire films we get these days are non horror action, comedies or Harlequin Romance vampires.

I hope this movie is good, it looks generic but it might have a couple fun moments. Charles Dance plays the Vampire so that might be cool

This may be a good warmup to the Crow reboot how far Luke Evans can take the role. Though the original movie with Brandon Lee will always rank high for me.

Thankfully it looks pretty good to me, I want to see another Universal monsters shared universe sometime soon, so I hope it does well at the box office.

@Sentry,

Shared Universe horror dilutes the concept for me. I definitely don't want any Dracula vs The Wolfman rubbish, I'm still getting over the horrible nightmares of how bad Van Helsing was.

Whats the spoiler? He's Dracula.

The Universal monsters shared universe ruled the box office back in the day. Van Helsing was cheesy, but fun. I would love to see a modern Dracula and Wolfman movie. It all just comes down to the execution, and I'd say Dracula Untold is looking pretty decent at the moment. Hopefully it lays some solid foundations for the rest of the Universal monsters gallery.

Some spoilery stuff with his wife falling etc..if you know the legend then obviously you'll know all of that, but some people don't.

Would be nice if someone did a historic movie on the real Vlad the Impaler for a change instead of the usual vampire Dracula crap.

Dmon - That would be awesome, but it'll probably butchered as well. History and Hollywood doesn't mix that well, with some exceptions of course.

You know one iconic villain I'd like to see made a hero? Hades the greek god of death. He'd be a badass. Vampires are waaaay overdone now.
