Comflix just sent me this clip that they created for Dracula Untold, which hits theaters this Friday. They created the comic-styled edit and treatment to share with users and fans of the character. The trailer hints at the character's history and origins without giving too much away.

Facing threats to his kingdom and his family, Vlad Tepes makes a deal with dangerous supernatural forces - while trying to avoid succumbing to the darkness himself.  Luke Evans (Fast & Furious 6, Immortals) stars in this origin story of the man who becomes Dracula.  Gary Shore directs and Michael Du Luca produces the epic action-adventure that co-stars Dominic Cooper, Sarah Gadon and Charles Dance.

ComicBookMovie.com and Best Little Sites was the brainchild of Nate and a friend way back in 2002. Nate initially focused on the back-end programming and front-end design, but now manages the company and its associated sites as well, with a LOT of help from some very talented contributors.

Nate has loved comics from a very young age and continues to read them on a regular basis thanks to subscriptions to various titles (both Marvel and DC). He also loves movies, as his wife and children will attest. He's not overly critical of movies, so his reviews should be taken with a grain of salt as he's much more interested in being entertained and escaping the "real" world for a couple of hours than finding every conceivable plot-hole and character flaw in a film.

Outside of his guilty "nerdy" pleasures, Nate enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys, CrossFit, playing guitar, coaching youth sports and MMA (he spent a couple of years in the cage as an NHB fighter, but is now MUCH too old).

Whoa. That trailer looks a hell of a lot better. Still don't plan on seeing the movie though.

More of a montage/tribute than a trailer...

It reminds me of those posters. I forget the artists name, but they did a bunch of MCU posters and stuff. They're usually limited edition and super expensive. It looks like those posters but in motion.

Nate, are you still going to do the Halloween Costume Contest now that you're running the show solo? I don't dress up, but that's always a cool contest.

@blackandyellow - Yes, we're still going to do a costume contest for Halloween. I'm trying to get a prize package put together so that I can announce it on Monday.

This is a visually stunning piece of work but it doesn't feel like a trailer to me. It feels more like the screen that will be running while your blu-ray copy of Dracula Untold is sitting on the menu screen waiting for you to hit play
