"I talked to Shyamalan over the holidays, and he is still thinking about doing the fight movie between me and Sam that we were going to do," Willis told MTV News.

"We chose to do the origin," he explained, hinting at there being discussions of a sequel featuring Willis' character and Samuel L. Jackson's villain squaring off in the first movie or a sequel.

"As long as Sam can make it, I'm up for it!"

I think BRUCE WILLIS should be NICK FURY!!

: P

UNBREAKABLE should be a one off movie!

Awesome movie, but like WATCHMEN it should be left alone!

Unbreakable is one of my favorite comic book movies even though it really isn’t one, if all three a interested then it should be made.

Unbreakable was the best non comic based superhero movie ever made imo. A sequel would be great..but they should have made it before Brucie started getting those wrinkles...

Am I the only comic fan that hated Unbreakable? What is Shamalan's deal with water?

should be an interesting "fight."
the unbreakable man beats down Sam Jackson who is already BROKEN!!!!!!
if SLJ's character, Eli plays his cards right, i smell a lawsuit.

does that make sense? has mr glass not been shattered already? or do they plan on utilizing his superior intellect in some other unforseen fashion? a mechanical robotic armored power suit perhaps? lol jk

and i thought the hoff was nick fury? but yeah wow he would probably make a killer nick fury, if sam jackson wasnt already cast. how about that role in planet terror!!! he whacked binladen by accident, classic!!!!

dont think shaymalan is into the sequel thing, i mean hey, you could potentially make a sequel to any of his works but do you really want see mark whalberg talking about whats happening to all the bees again?(imagine dirk diggler saying bees in that squeaky brock landers voice)

Yeah he could still do something with that brain, create an army of supermen..ATOMIC MONSTERS THAT....oh sorry, wrong meeting.

Lee, i just saw over at Earths Mightiest that you admitted to liking Burton's Apes..dud I think thats illegal.

@Leee His weakness was water! The body is 70% water. And why does everyone whisper? Can't stand this movie. Or really any of Shaymalan's movies.

I love a lot of his movies. Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs, The Village. I even like Lady In The Water. They are all flawed and I don't like his need for a twist but the man is very talented, a great eye and knows how to pace a movie with great tension. The Happening was garbage though. Sure he has a certain style and has a lot of similar elements in his films..so does(did) Kubrick, Spielberg, Scorsese...
sansClaymore
sansClaymore - 2/22/2010, 7:02 PM
he must be from a really dry country lol. anyways the last airbender has probably got lots of water in it. so dont be surprised if you see ang literally twisting water. also cant wait to see what role, in cameo, he takes, a monk? a fire nation duder? as long as he doesnt leave a poor terrified alien trapped in a pantry on a foreign planet ill be ok with it.
by the way if the guy ever pins my wife to a tree with a pickup truck i'd probably round up murtaugh and go karawack on his scrawny ass!!! lmao

It was a brilliant movie and I have to agree with ROR that it was probably the best superhero movie not based on a comic book! If done properly, a sequel would be brilliant! :)

ROB @ Cool, different strokes for different folks!!! ; D

ROR @ Its (POTA) a billion times better than a certain X-movie dude, don't make me say it! ; P

Nah, i wont say it lol!

I haven't seen Burton's POTA, and judging from what everyone says about it, I don't want to.

And I don't think I've seen Unbreakable the movie, or read the comic. Willis is cool I guess.

@leee777 i was hoping to see X-dude(assuming who you are referring to) spend a little more time on normandy beach slashing nazis with his bro, to my dismay it was only a clip within the opening credits. if the first avenger is not a badass war epic, i will personnaly destroy the movie studio where it is filmed for everyone. rest easy! there will be blood!(horrible nod at who i want for red skull, i know)

Grif, your telling me you actually liked the last Die hard? MClaine knocks a gut out of a helicopter with a fire hydrant spray.. A FIRE HYDRANT SPRAY! there is a fine line between brainless action and complete and total retardation and that movie crossed it.
sansClaymore
sansClaymore - 2/22/2010, 8:04 PM
@ror i take it you agree with my ascertion lol, as i was being overly sarcastic with my movie title choices, clearly a 5th die hard is overkill.

wait... die hard 5 overkill!!!!!!!!
ive just changed my mind!!!

Ah, unbreakable. One of the last good M. Night movies. If he did decide to make a sequel, I'd be cool with that. It does work better as a solo movie though imo. Hopefully The Last Airbender will be the movie that gets Shamalan out of the ditch that he's dug himself into with his last couple of movies.

Is it TOO LATE to make this movie?..I would see it, but
UNBREAKABLE is one of the BEST (non) comic book based movie's ever made! would a sequal ever live up to it?
I don't know. This news makes me nervous. Just like
Avatar 2..why mess with something that worked SO GOOD the first time around?

This film puts a new twist on the standard robot movies. Somewhere between I Robot and the Stepford Wives. I found it very interesting in premise and filled with good performances through out. It's not one of the dazzling special effects laden thrill ride so many movies are today, it doesn't try to be or need to be. Perhaps because it tells a story and has a plot, it doesn't need to rely on an overload of special effects to hold the audience.IT's a movie and Bruce Willis makes it work. Without him, this movie is just ok. The effects and storyline are good. The plot is a little contrived, but not contradictory and it flows. Enough twists and turns, you don't know what coming next. Is it a classic? Probably not, but another very watchable movie with Bruce Willis carrying us along for a serial ride.

Die Hard 4 was over the top for sure, but it was supposed to be, it was one of the better action movies of the last few years. Taking down a harrier jet bare handed isn't all that unrealistic, just awesome, awesome facking shet!

I'm with you Ror - I've liked all of Shamalan's movies except The Happening. He's a great storyteller (and story writer)...plain and simple. Imagination is a rare thing these days and his flicks are a refreshing change.

Ryguy88 - 2/22/2010, 10:42 PM
You liked Lady in the Water? As good as the Sixth Sense, Unbreakable and Signs were, you cannot let Shyamalan off the hook for Lady in the Water and the Happening, (I'll give him a free pass on the Village.) His imagination imploded in 2002.

@ROR

...Tarantino, Lee, Allen, Hitchcock.....funny how most of the guys with polarizing styles are regarded as "The best of the best." Like you've said, Shyamalan has a great eye. I think his greatest challenge with this film will be the levity. ALL of his characters have had this....somberness. As if, death was looming just over the hills (which in some cases, was the point), or there was just no happiness in the world. THE LAST AIRBENDER should certainly have those moments, but these are kids.....and they act like kids. It's what made the whole animated series so endearing. Every frame of the trailers so far has been so, morose. I know they are going for an EPIC feel in the trailers, but if those light, jovial moments are in the film, i think it's a mistake not to market them. If they aren't.....the film will be lacking that "special" thing that made the series so successful.

[frick], sorry about that, hahaha, got stoned just b4 i started typing.....no idea where that was supposed to be goin...lmao.

Wasn't Unbreakable a Disney/Touchstone movie?

I think last week the Disney CEO said something about not making big budget movies that don't sell toys and/or other licensed merchandise. Does this work with Unbreakable 2?

@Ryguy88 Yeah for sure man, I agree 100% with that...Village was decent, if it ended when they opended the shed and then she found out...completly different movie...Happening was so well shot I can enjoy it..BUT Lady in the Water was effin garbage...I debated for a while cuz it looked stupid then I finally caved when some crackhead had it for $5...I still feel ripped off...WTF was even going on in that movie...such garbage...
