Well, there are about 6 or 7 actual fully fledged comic book movies, but another few make the cut as CBM related. We all love a good poster here at CBM. Unfortunately our favorite sub genre doesn't really produce that many. They tend to be either completely unimaginative or just lousy photoshop jobs. But there are a few gems out there too, particularly from back when a teaser poster actually teased and we weren't already spoiled by knowing every little detail of the movie. Anyway, here are 8 of the 20 from Total Film's list..

There number 1 spot goes to Terminator Salvation



2 is The Dark Knight


6 is Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace


9 is Watchmen


13 is Scott Pilgrim VS The World


14 is Spider-man


19 is The Matrix


And at 20 is Avatar

Not trying to be a hater or anything but terminator shouldn't be number 1 , not that why so serious is much better but the spiderman and star wars ones are better.

Phantom Menace one was cool when I first saw it. I think my favorite is the Terminator Salvation one - course that movie kinda blew and I'm still waiting for a terminator movie that looks like the future in T2 and T1

that poster for the matrix is actuall for the matrix reloaded. the matrix came out in '99.

Just read the whole list.....what an epic fail. Over half of them are nowhere near the word cool. I feel like making my own list now.

Most of those are great posters - don't think Terminator: Salvation should have been number 1, though. TDK all the way.

I like that they chose them based on them being great posters. Many of the movies didn't live up to what the posters were, but I get how this is just about how awesome those standalone images were.

I love Scott Pilgrim, the comic and the movie, but that is a SHITTY poster. I'm certain it turned people away from seeing the movie. "So it's a movie about a skinny twerp who plays bass? Pass."
