Looks pretty good. The shield tho doesn't really blend too well with the rest of the suit. The first was alright.

@tea agreed.

Shane Davis has never been a good artist...and it looks like he's just getting worse. How in the living [frick]ing hell did this piece of crap get past DC Editorial? The sequel to a relatively rare OGN, one of DC's biggest sellers in recent history blah blah...and that's how the damn cover looks? *shudder*

Wow...His abs are disproportionate with the rest of his body, and i agree about the Emblem. It just doesn't look right, it doesnt
match the art style.

@Rosso

Superman: Earth ONE. For further elaboration:

Earth-0: Main DCU Continuity
Earth-1: DC: Earth One series (Superman: Earth One, Batman: Earth One)
Earth-2: DCnU JSA

The decision to label the main continuity Earth-0 actually goes back to Infinite Crisis, 52, and Final Crisis.

@TheGDSwifterman They seem to always make Superman's eyes glow red which is not an anger thing. I mean Hulk is always angry and his eyes don't glow green constantly. It just seems like Superman has zero control over his heat vision. Maybe he should borrow Cyclops's visor??

That picture is pretty damn lame anyway you look at it including the over done to the point of comedy red glowing heat vision eyes.

@CaptinProg people don't like the removal of the red stringman style trucks because it messed with the most well known Superhero's iconic images. For people it bothered it being there in the first place are just plain silly. Besides they didn't remove the trunks persay as you can still see the lines. They just changed the color from red to a matching blue. Basically making an already simplistic costume much more bland.

I mean really it's all about legal crap because DC was looking for loopholes and not a way a way to "update" the character for modern readers.

I heard it was good, haven't gotten the chance to pick it up but its on my to-do list.

What the hell is up with that artwork!?? I wasn't a huge fan of the art in the first book, but its just gonna continue to get worse?!? WTF?!? Why is he so disproportional?!? And that damn S-shield! All I can say is WTF!

@CaptainProg well, show me ONE good design without the trunks. DCnU and Man of Steel are not it. Til I see a good design without it, I'll still like the iconic look better. If I see a good one, I might change my mind.

I loved earth one the story was handled well and the art was fantastic, the only thing was it felt like a movie because of its pacing which isn't a bad thing at all it just kind of felt like they were trying to push too many ideas at once and they didn't give themselves enough space to do it. Personally i can't wait to read this one i want to see where the earth one series takes it's self and one more thing im sure you all know this but for those who don't and are wondering why he has the red undies like in the old universe its because earth one is its own universe its different from the new 52 u and the old u so they can take superman wherever they want and not have to worry about continuity with any of the other universe's

Loved the first one! I think they shoulda just went this route instead of the reboot. That way they could tell standalone stories and not ruin the continuity of what had come before.
