First of all my questions is why do you say a movies bad when their not really bad?

1st is Wanted. I know everybody is always saying Wanted sucked it didn't follow the comic. Well the thing I have to say is it said on the poster and the trailer LOOSLY based on the comic did everybody see that LOOSLY. The movie was a really cool with the bullet curving, train wreck, good acting, and a kill with a sniper from 20 miles away and the movie sucks? I think everybody knows here that once you hand your stuff over to a studio that its no longer yours the studio owns it now so they can do whatever they want with it.

Now somebody from this site is gonna find me and kill me for this, but Spider-man 3 was my favorite Spider-man movie. Now everybody hated emo Peter and Venom and Sandman killing uncle ben i think I could come up with 20 other things but I want to focus on these. Emo peter i didn't hat it but I didn't like it either. Its not like it the emo ruined the movie it was only in there for like 40 min out of the 2:30. Venom the character was cool but he was friken small but once again that didn't destroy the movie once again a little flaw. Sandman killing uncle ben i mean who cares that was raimis story he wasn't trying to belittle the idea of the other guy killing him this is just how he wanted to do it that and personally that part of the movie intrigued me.

This ones for you Lee. X men first class. this movie hasn't even come out yet and people hate it. they got good actors in good roles so the only thing im asking is to give the movie a chance and not knock it until you watch it.

Now guys sound off in the comments and tell me how much you hate me now lol.

(This is in a non argumentative voice) I think the reason people get pissed off is because something that is near and dear to them gets twisted and bent loose as you said. I for one liked Wanted, and I never read the comic, but after I did read the comic, it just seemed like the movie wasn't as faithful to comic as it probably could of been. The movie was changed to be more contemporary and easier to translate.

Now Spiderman 3: as a movie itself, it was *ok*. Coming from a more faithful side, it wasn't that great. I mean, my personal biggest gripe against comic book movies is ALWAYS kill off the enemy. (minus a few movies like Batman Begins with scarecrow)I know the good guy must win, but personally it'd be cool to see enemies return especially in like a Darth Vadar like style and just be there as a background menace, kinda like you know he's always there. Spiderman 3 just kinda cluster(frick)ed enemies and tried to do what 2 separate movies could of done)and in this case it wasn't done well. Plus personally I feel like all 3 movies were too focused on Pete and MJ and losing all of Spiderman's charm and jokes.

So in the end, its all people's perspective, and how much they are willing to push aside their faithfulness to a movie/franchise.

The thing is we are talking about movies here not the comics. We are not going to get 20 Spider-Man movies so I really do not understand this worry over Villains. I want new ones in very movie not to see the same couple over and over.

I am with you Joker I love Spider-Man III. The biggest group of people who hate it are Venom fans. Since it was not a Venom movie they hate it simple as that. [sarcastic voice on] Venom is too big for a Spider-Man movie. [voice off]

First Class...

Now this is something entirely different. We have had 4 X-Men movies to date so we do have a pretty good idea of what to expect.

Most other CBMs at least pay lip service to the source material. With the X-Men franchise they do not do even that. The X-Men have been taken from us and place in the hands of people who just want to suck money out of us.

They do not care about the Comics, they do not care about the Fans. They were willing to throw away the greatest love story in Comic History (Scott and Jean) so she and Wolvie could almost get it on. There is a clear pattern here of doing it wrong.

So Joker you might be willing to wait to see what happens with First Class but many of us are not. We are already sick of what has been done to the X-Men and want it over. Personally I want First Class to bomb big time. I want it to stink so bad that Fox never, ever, makes another X-Men movie.

The point here is that I do not want another movie with the X-Men name added on. I do not want to see yet another crappy interpretation of the Mutants I want the real deal. So even if First Class gets raving reviews from the Critics I am not going to see it.

Sometimes there are more important things in life than a couple of hours of entertainment.

I guess we're going to beat the horse some more.

I hated "Wanted" I never read the book, the premise really doesn't interest me so I watched this movie as a movie not an adaptation. It sucked, bad. A bullet going in a complete 360 degrees? No.

Spider-Man III, I've given my thoughts on why I hated it plenty of times, no need to dig this back up from the grave.

Mind you I like Venom, but I honestly wanted the Lizard in this installment.

As for the First Class, I have no positive or negative feelings on this because I really have nothing to go by. I'll wait to judge if I will see the movie when I see the trailer.

well, you picked probably the biggest mockery of source material ever created.

Wanted as a movie, i found to be very boring, but the thing is, it wasn't Wanted. If you walked into a room and people were watching Wanted, and you had no idea what they were watching, there is not a single person on the planet that would know it was supposed to be an adaptation of the comic. Thats the reason people say it sucks. They could have named that movie ANYTHING else, but not Wanted. Why? again, because IT WASN'T WANTED. I don't know what it was, but the one thing it was not, was Wanted. Need me to say it again? okay. It wasn't Wanted! It would be like making a Batman adaptation, with no superheroes or villains, and most importantly, NO BATMAN. Would you consider that a good movie? I know I wouldn't.

So i don't care, it could have been the greatest movie ever made, and I'd STILL say it sucked, because it failed in adapting the comic. Which, really, should be the entire goal of an ADAPTATION.

JOKER @ LOL... You may wanna close your eyes an stick your a$$ up in the air for Hollywood, but some of us WANT REAL CBM's and want them good! ; P

The fact is... if they don't wanna adapt the comic, at least close... then [frick]ing leave our beloved comic characters alone and make their own [frick]ing superhroes, don't break what ain't broke lol!

FOX, etc are now stopping MARVEL STUDIOS from making amazing superhero movies!

Read what CORNDOG just wrote... ^^^^ he hit the nail on the head!!!

As for X-MEN FIST A$$ ... knock yourself out! ; D

I actually disagree with Corndog on the Wanted issue. I never read the original and I realize that the movie wasn't close to it, but that doesn't matter that much to me. I really don't see why they would choose to call it Wanted and label it an adaptation when it was pretty much an original story, but whatever.
I hated wanted because I thought it was a crappy movie. If it was a great movie that had nothing to d with the comic, then I would give it credit. But in my opinion: the movie sucks and it's a terrible adaptation which makes it really bad.

@ BIGBMH

so how is that disagreeing with me? lol you pretty much said what i said.

Its just that the movie didn't resemble the comic in any way, shape or form. Curving bullets? his power was that he was good at killing, thats it. He could make his shots hit their mark because he was just that good, not because he curved bullets. and really, nothing else was like the comic. Not the story, feel, setting, world, or anything.

I know what you mean, a good movie is a good movie, but can you really call something a good movie when it so clearly and blatantly misses its mark?

I generally agree with the stance this editorial takes, but find it hard to support such a poorly written and poorly argued piece.

another glorified comment posted in editorials because someone needs attention.

do 95% of you even care about credibility or being taken seriously?
