From genrocks at YouTube: This year's movies have legitimately transformed my idea of what is creatively possible. To commemorate, I've remixed 270 of them into one giant ass video.

Why was even one second of that piece of crap SKYLINE on this? That one second ruined this whole piece for me.

JK. But still, that was a horrible movie.

@LEEE

Well, the fact that it was an immense rip-off of Cloverfield and War of the Worlds didn't really bother me. It was the fact that they ripped it off and SUCKED at it! Cloverfield was good because of how it told the story from a group of friends' perspective. The reason it worked so well was because the friends were INTERESTING and the script was good. Plus, the hand-held camera perspective made the backstory relevant. With Skyline, all of the friends were stereotypical douchebags that were uninteresting and you hated them as a result. The acting was terrible. The script was atrocious and filled with simplistic dialogue and ridiculous conflicts that were laughable at best. At one point in the film, a nutjob comes on the scene and starts acting hostile for no apparent reason. (a real LOL moment in the theater.) It was an obvious attempt to rip-off Tim Robbins' character in War of the Worlds. The ending had one of the biggest WTF moments in cinema. It's like the Straus Brothers said "[frick] it. This film is bad. Let's just end in a way people will never forget."

I'm someone who can find entertainment value in bad movies. I could see the entertainment value in Transformers 2 and in FOX superhero movies. I'll use the entertainment value to justify the horrible script an acting. This movie didn't have entertainment value. I was BORED! Even during the parts with the aliens, I looked at my friends and said "you wanna just go now?" We stayed though, much to my chagrin.

As you can see, I express real animosity towards this film. I could rant for hours, but I feal it would be out of place on here. So I'll just go now. =)

P.S. The cgi was fantastic, but you won't notice it amidst the rest of the dung heap.
