Admittedly the audio is a little rough, but what becomes clear from this interview is the reverence that Morrison has for Superman.

sigh i really dislike this guy but thank god he is in superman now,at least not in batman,he is the only writer who was able to make batman boring, dull and unexciting and make me stop reading batman comics for some time with his batman inc ideas, forgetting Bruce Wayne is the ONLY batman.

well good luck superman, hopefully he will do a good job for you,god bless to you.

@batmanbruce: he only gave his version of the '60s Batman, you may say you don't like his weird sci-fi/fantasy stories but I wouldn't call them "boring, dull and unexciting" because they aren't.

@TheGODDAMNSUPERGUY: why so many people didn't read All Star Superman?

I greatly dislike Grant Morrison. He made Batman completely boring. For the first time in 10 years, I dropped Batman titles.

How many Superman origins/reboots do we need? We already know where he's from, where he got his costume, who the characters are. Been there done that. This is just a desperate attempt to get the sheep to keep buying this recycled crap. Ridiculous.

@ DetBullock & PiggyV01 - i don't want to argue guys but he did really mess up batman universe and the decision to relaunch it in a way proves it,and the general consensus is that he did make batman boring, uncool and way too much complicated.you may say that it is complicated because im dumb etc and maybe i am but it was not fun and entertaining for me,and believe me i know fun and entertaining batman comics which were dark but true to his legacy and didn't make batman a joke by having batmen and batman inc (though im sure you do not share my sentiments if u guys think Morrison did a good job with batman inc and batmen story)

i think Paul Dini,Doug Moench,Chuck Dixon and Jeph Loeb really wrote some amazing batman comics which became super sellers which Morrison never even came close to replicating(simple eg - batman HUSH a simple yet entertaining action packed cool story sold 1.68 million copies in its 12 issue run and averaged 140000 copies per issue,no Morrison batman arc can boast this achievement, this is because the story appealed to common comic book reading folks,it wasn't complicated,it didn't try to do any radical changes,it simply used bruce Wayne as batman and told us one hell of an ENTERTAINING story)i can give you the links if you want and i can guarantee you no Morrison story arc had such an impressive and economical run.

but like i said im glad he is out of batman finally :) and hopefully will never return EVER :)

I've read some good stuff by him but I had to stop reading Batman because it became completely boring like a few other people have said.

batman hush was the top issue 10 times out of it's 12 issues a achievement that very very few comics have managed.it always managed to increase its sales in every subsequent issue and sold 240000 copies in the finale.

further proof that you don't need radical, complicated ideas to sell stories(batmen, batman inc, death of bruce Wayne etc)you just need the ability to write creative, entertaining stories and a great artist to make things look beautiful.Loeb did that with batman quite often and that showed his skill.using tactics like death of bruce and batman inc is just an easy way of selling comics because they are controversial and people will buy it,keeping people interested in the character like in HUSH is the more difficult thing.(batman hush and long Halloween are 2 of my top favorites of batman both by Loeb)pity he is at MARVEL,he sure knows how to write entertaining and cool stories staying true to character.

but now its superman's problem and really god bless him and hopefully it will be better for superman

@ gnark1llx - totally agree, after reading batman and been a HUGE fan of batman/bruce Wayne for a long long time even i stopped reading batman stories because they were so dull and uninteresting/ not exciting and radical with all the batmen running about,it became a joke.

but in best interest of superman even if im not a fan i think mark waid would have been the better choice, but DC is in love with morrison sigh :(

Theres some real crazy guys in here. Can't wait to see what he brings to Superman. And ?I clearly remember people being killed violently in alot of grant morrison's run on Batman. Stories like The Black Glove, R.I.P, The Run On Batman & Robin. Had just as much action and violence as any of the comics that @batmanbruce brought up. It seems you guys just couldn't solve the mystery. :p

Jim Lee's version of Superman's new relaunch look that I found off of google image. Dont know how but someone was able to grab a panel/page from a comic and posted it online.

I didnt like his boots with just a red trim on his boots so I adjust it.

I just hope that he leaves out all of the corny silver age material that we saw in All Star Superman. If he makes it contemporary, it should be awesome. He is a great writer!

Grant Morrison's batman run was hit and miss, but he at last did his own thing and didn't try and copy the batman from the dark knight returns and i applaud that. His superman though is perfect. He wrote a classic superman story better than Mark Waid's superman. So his Action Comics (if he keeps up the quality up) should be a classic run.

Morrison is fvcking awful! His run on JLA was great, but his comics are so pretentious and not fun. He is to enamoured with the silver age, and tries to shoe-horn it in at any opportunity. All Star Superman shouldve been called Super Show-off! Everything he did was spectacular, in that scene where he gave his mother some flowers for Jonathons grave, he couldnt just pick some or buy some....He gave her some fvcking space-flowers! Modern Superman is all about trying to be human, he is going to mess this up IMO

wow i guess there is no grey area with grant morrison. I think the guy is great and loved his run on batman and robin. In a time of crossover overload, the stories morrison told with the jovial light hearted dick grayson batman and dark cynical damian wayne robin were refreshing. all star superman is probably one of the greatest superman stories ever told. at the same time, i can say the same for mark waids birthright.

@batmanbruce hush sucked. dont care how many issues they sold, i feel like you can thank jim lee for that because loeb's writing was boring. i tend to like a little mystery with batman, one of the greatest detectives in tights. to throw a third guy in the ring..azzarello's broken city run on batman was f**king glorious

@ MatchesMalone1989 - mate im not talking about violence level im talking about writing an entertaining action packed cool comic, and Morrison failed regarding that in his batman run.

i think the comics should be entertaining thats the most important thing and in this regard i think mark waid would have done a good job with superman but what to do,lets hope for the best.
