The History channel is cool already but it just got a lot cooler! This from The LA Times:

"Expanding the definition of history, which has served the channel well in the last several years, is Stan Lee's "Superhumans." The comic maven will host with Daniel Browning Smith, who has been dubbed the most flexible man in the world, and the two will travel the world looking for people with genetic mutations that give them special powers. "Swamp People," set in Louisiana, centers on gator-hunting Cajuns trying to protect a dying way of life."

Maybe the next episode after the "Swamp People" will feature the "Super Swimmers" of the Caribbean, or feature someone that can control electricity? Who knows I am sure the producers have a couple cards up their sleeves.

This could be a cool show. Not exactly the search for real Super powered beings but hey, meta humans none the less. Off course Stan Lee is reason enough to watch the show. Airing dates have not been announced stay tuned for further announcements!

This sounds like an okay idea. I just hope it isn't a snore-fest of a show.

Can we say, "Who wants to be a Superhero...2?" If it's anything like that, its an epic fail. I did see a special on the Science Channel about "metahumans" that was pretty cool though, so maybe it has some hope. There was the Iceman, than runs barefoot in sub-freezing temps, and a guy that could channel electricity through a tesla coil device he built. Oh, and a magnetic guy who has metal objects adhere to his skin. Find more of these guys!

Yeah, it sounds like it could be legit, find a team of these guys and have them wear costumes and protect us all!

This will be pretty cool to watch, especially if they show people that they haven't shown yet.I've seen all the ones that others have already talked about, but the one i liked the most was this young guy that could naturally channel any amount of electricity through his body with no harm to himself. It would have been awesome if he'd been able to generate his own electricity. He was shown lighting different types of light-bulbs by holding them in one hand and either holding a power source with his other hand or simply by having it near a tv screen while it was on.
He was also shown burning through pieces of paper and through wood by channeling electricity through his finger tips. I don't remember the name of the show but it was freaking awesome.

This show has already been on or I watched the pilot. It is a very cool show.

The one I watched had a man that can withstand cold (Iceman) and a man that objects stick to (Magneto). They found that the man that objects stick to could actually be more closely accociated with (Spidey) because objects stick to him due to his lack of body hair (the tiny ones that you can't see.) No lie! There was another guy on it but I don't remember what his feature was.

They run series of tests on the subjects, it's actualy a very scientific show.

A movie scene depicting Chuck Norris losing a fight with Bruce Lee was the product of history's most expensive visual effect. When adjusted for inflation, the effect cost more than the Gross National Product of Paraguay.
Chuck Norris never loses a fight. :)

this show can't be as bad as that despicable piece of filth "Who Wants to Be a Superhero?", which made all of us comic geeks look like a bunch of pathetic losers. I'll never forgive Lee for that. That was where I lost all respect for the man, who has long ago sold any real credibility as a comic pioneer to being a guy who will whore his name out to anything for a buck. It's a sad spectacle to behold.
