J-Man's Superhero Movie Moments That Threw The S!

Most of you will agree, some of you may not but whatever!

This entire article is up for debate. Some ComicBookMovie fans will whole heartedly disagree while others will rejoice that these Superhero Movie Moments that 'Threw the S' are completely and utterly accurate. Here we go!

Throwing the S!

This can be associated with many Superhero Movie Moment blunders and has now officially been made the term used when describing Stupid Superhero Movie Moments!

Val Kilmer really 'Threw the S' when he smiled on camera as The Batman!

News Flash Val, The Batman never smiles! Especially on camera. Are you kiding me, this is not the entire reason but is a big part of why Batman Forever failed!

Daredevil was pretty good, lets face it. It was by far not the worst CBM in history. While watching the clip below it makes me remember why Elektra portrayed by Jennifer Gardner, failed so miserably. First off Elektra is not a preppy white girl. Jennifer plays this role like Elektra just won Prom Queen and DareDevil just banged her date.

Speeking of Bullseye, when Collin Ferrell deceided to rub his forehead as Bullseye it introduced a higher level of douche to Ben Affleck's Daredevil. Check at mark :31 and again at 1:20, he repeats this bad behavior throughout the movie.

I'm sure one day Ben and Jen's Goblin Baby will one day look up above the bridge she lives under only to smile and say "Man my parents really were something'!

This video of Toby Mcguire making a complete ass out of Peter Parker in Spider-Man 3 really 'Threw the S' on the franchise. I'm sure most of you will agree.

Dudes and Dude ets, this is it for this edition of Jman's Superhero Movie Moments That Threw The S! Be sure to keep checking ComicBookMovie.com for further editions. Have a great weekend everyone!

First time outside of me and my friends I've heard someone use the term "Throwing the S". We just use it as a general term for any "WTF was that?/How did that make it past editing?" moments in movies.

Good calls, I don't quite understand the Bullseye rubbing his forehead being on the list, didn't really strike me as something I wouldn't do if I had a target permanently etched into my forehead.

How about Electra stabbing a bag of sand with a Daredevil face painted on it? That movie was God awful.

I think the Throwing the S in Superman 2 was the dumbest Superman moment but Batman smiling that is not right.

I don't know why Bullseye was up there I thought Farell was a great Bullseye he might have been a little eccentric but that is what he was trying to pull of a crazy man who never misses a target.

DEADPOOL- I THINK IT WAS A GOOD PROGRESSION, IRON MAN ONE, YOU SEE HIM DRINK ALLITTLE, IRON MAN 2, YOU SEE HIM WHEN HE HITS A LOW WHERE HE GOES FOR COMFORT..IRON MAN 3..DEMON IN A BOTTLE, BUT ID LOVE TO SEE ARMOR WARS. WHY DIDN'T HE WANNA GIVE THE GOVERNMENT THE SUIT? TO PREVENT PEOPLE FROM STEALING HIS TECH AND IMPLEMENTING IT INTO OTHER ARMORS, JUST LIKE WHEN TERRORISTS GOT A HOLD OF HIS WEAPONS AND USED IT TO HURT PEOPLE IN IRON MAN 1, I DON'T THINK IT WOULD STAND FOR HIM AT ALL IT HAPPENING AGAIN WITH HIS ARMOR TECH .I'D LIKE TO SEE SOMETHING LIKE HIS TECH GETTING OUT AND HIM HAVING TO GO AROUND HUNTING IT ALL DOWN WITH A VENGEANCE..WAY MORE ARMORED BAD GUYS, MORE WEAPONRY, A NICE 3RD.

Drunk Iron Man was great. I thought it was a great way to show how Tony's dealing with his imminent mortality, and when he started firing repulsors everywhere, I knew Rhodey had to step up. It was a really well done scene IMO. It gave us a bit of the alcoholism that comic Tony's famous for but it didn't go too far with it, just like Favs said.

Quite frankly, I'm pretending Singerman's X-Men franchise doesn't really exist. So, you know, neither does Barakapoo.

@Jman
my "Throwing the S" moment is not really a moment. so i can't give you a video about it.
but i'm under the assumption that most if not all members on this sight have seen Superman Returns.
(if you haven't that's okay. You'll probably be selling your soul to Satan for 2 hours 20 minutes of your life back. don't do it btw, it doesn't work. ;))
well, the whole concept of Superman Returns comes to a peak when you find out Superman has a son!
now, there are three things wrong with this:
1) Lois doesn't remember. this is probably a side effect of another "Throw the S" moment: the amnesia kiss. therefore, Lois would probably consider herself violated which is a postion Superman would never put her in.

2) Superman is as "old fashioned" and conservative as it gets. so why would anyone EVER believe that Superman would have sex outside of marriage? i actually agree with this lifestyle choice, but hey that's just me. the point being, is that Superman would never be HUMAN enough to consent to sexual intercourse, even with Lois' permission.

3) Superman also spent the majority of his long comicbook career protecting Lois by not engaging in a serious relationship. which would include revealing his secret identity.

now why would a conservative, old fashioned, heroic, and straight laced alien (accidental or not) actually impregnate an amnesiac Lois Lane?

i cry foul!!!

Bullseye was not that bad. I thought Collin did a good job with the character. And he's one of my favorite characters in the whole Marvel universe. Therefore, if I wasn't pissed about it...neither should you be. haha

@Wadey- to Satan or Mephisto? Cause I don't think I'd mind becoming a ghost rider, to be quite honest :P

But yes, that entire movie was a gigantic flying S. Ghost Rider, too, actually...

I just wish Marvel would hunt down the film rights to their properties already. X-Men especially :(
Wadey09
Wadey09 - 5/22/2010, 12:16 AM
@HeyVanity
i wouldn't make a deal with either one of them.
Hell is too hot for me and i hear the transformation to Ghost Rider is a LITTLE painful.
i'm allergic to pain.
speaking of Ghost Rider, what do you have against it?
the film was alright. not great but rewatchable.

How about how Rhodey was able to power the Mark II suit without a core thingy on his chest?

@Redstorm
this was also pointed out on YourGeekNews.com.
i don't think that anyone has noticed that when the armors were on display, they each had their own arc reactor. even the Mark I.
i thought that was obvious.
