Hey Guys,
Kevin Feige gave NBC’s Popcornbiz, an exclusive interview check it out !
In it he discusses, how valuable the franchises they are setting up, are to him. And find out what he had to say concerning Dr. Strange!

“Whatever Marvel Film has gone for, it's succeeded. Whenever it's operated in some fear or failure it is not done as well,” says Feige, though admitting that the growing interconnectedness of Marvel’s theatrical properties does provoke a little nail-biting if one of the films flops. “We've been lucky enough that, going back to 'X-Men I,' we've constantly been rewarded for giving in to the risks, rewarded for giving in to the idea of 'Okay, this might be a stretch, but if it works we think that it could be something special.' As opposed to giving in to the fear of ‘Let’s be careful.’ The good news is that right now we're able to make the movies envisioning the best end result, really, and that frees us up to make those choices, whether it’s casts or directors or writers or storylines or visuals, just really going with our gut for what we think the broader audience will respond to.”

“If you're really into it and you really want to study them, you will see that they are all interconnected in a way that flows right into, through and past 'Avengers,'” says Feige. “I think if one doesn't do as well as the other, because they are essentially stand-alone movies, they'll still be okay. But I certainly feel a little bit of what the New Line people must've felt back in the day, going, 'All right, we've got three "Lord of the Rings" movies – What if this first one doesn't work?’”

“The whole idea of the cinematic universe is another tool for storytelling that you have to use wisely,” he says. “I would start to be turned off to the whole idea if it ever started to feel like a gimmick. Like Tony Stark saying 'Oh, Pepper, I've hurt my leg – let me go see this doctor. Oh hello, Dr. Strange.' I don't think that there will be a lot of cause of that kind of thing. But there are opportunities, like Hawkeye in 'Thor' and Black Widow in 'Iron Man,' if it serves the story anyway, to have a nod in there. I do see 'The Avengers' franchise as something in which other Avenger characters might make their first appearance in an 'Avengers' movie. Then maybe if audiences respond to them they could spinout into their own movies.”

Spin out Black Widow, please! This is a character, like Lara Croft (but better), that could easily hold her own in a couple movies. Maybe even well written cameos by Winter Soldier, Black Panther, or any other related character.

hank and wasp to get introduced later in the movie, star in avengers 2 and then their own spin-off.
But i still reckon i this one, the avengers need help with magic to fight loki and call on Dr Strange...which will leave room for a spin-off OR do what was done in the comics...
Loki tricks Dr Strange into attacking Thor, which he then fights out of the deception and joins thor to defeat Loki.

I dunno about an Ant Man and Wasp solo movie. Then again I just may be bitter at the fact that they are not founding members of the Avengers in this cinematic universe.

I think what Marvel is doing by creating a cinematic universe is great! DC is failing on it and I really hope that Green Lantern is going to be the first step to create something bigger that will include all the characters.

Stick to the source material. Aside from not having the rights to Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch because of the X films, the next Avengers should include Vision and Black Panther......and the current Avengers should include Giant-man and the Wasp!

Captain Mar-Vell before Ms. Marvel for sure. How can you have Ms. Marvel without a Captain Mar-Vell??? That's like introducing Robin before Batman. It took the original to make the knock-off.

Nova an Avenger? He has never even once been an Avenger, and that's saying a lot because sooooo many characters have been Avengers at one time or another. No thanks. There are too many characters that have ACTUALLY been Avengers to choose from before I start looking at characters unrelated to the group.

I know it's next to impossible, but I'm still holding out hope that Marvel Studios worked out some sort of deal with Sony/Columbia to integrate The Amazing Spider-Man into the MCU. It's a long shot, but Kevin adding how great their relations are with Sony in particular gives me an inkling of hope.
Of course, I'm probably delusional and this is just wishful thinking.
