Job Description


The 2nd Assistant Editor supports the 1st Assistant Editor, Post Editor and Editor with projects as assigned.

Assist 1st Assistant Editor with overflow work/projects as assigned
Assist Post Editor by cutting in animation and lighting files daily
Email Editorial/Animation Production Assistant with any incorrect media received
Run ListCut to grab frame counts & frame ranges from EDLs and update Zam
Create Quicktimes, audio files and EDLs as needed
Prep and send out turnovers and change notes for vendors and composer
Assist in special projects as needed

Requirements


Minimum 2 years experience with Avid Media/Film Composer
Minimum 2 years post-production experience on TV/Feature
Bachelors Degree in Film or related field desired, or equivalent experience
Strong ability to multi-task and meet deadlines while working under tight schedules
Strong team player with good interpersonal skills
Demonstrate balance of creativity and technical knowledge
Excellent written and verbal communication skills: able to communicate with all levels of executives, management and staff
Excellent organizational and follow-through skills
Must be able to manage multiple projects and tasks with a high level of detail and accuracy
