Here is a description on what this comic book is about:

In MUDMAN #1, the new school year is just beginning, and it isn’t starting off well for teenager Owen Craig. His day just keeps going from bad to worse: He gets run over, he gets detention, and then he learns his father has actually been taken hostage by armed bank robbers. But that’s only the beginning of his problems. Now his body appears to be turning into mud!

This is what Paul Grist had to say about his new hero:

“This is my ‘Back to Basics’ superhero comic,” explained Grist. “It’s not about alien menaces or cosmic powers (though they may pop up once in a while); it’s all about growing up and finding your way in the world, and how the decisions that you make can affect others. In a way, it’s probably the most autobiographical comic I’ve ever done. But with added mud.”

I dont know about this one guys. This is my personal opinion but a man turning to mud doesnt sound that interesting. I could be wrong though, after all he is in good hands.

What do you guys think?

I'll give it a try. You have to admire what the writer is doing he's taking it back to just a regular kid getting powers and what happens then, no crossovers , mess up with continuty , complicated storylines, just a teen with powers so basicacly the early years of Spidey which were awesome. So I dont think the powers matter its the drama and story surronding them. Just hope this is well cause I've been thinkin of something like this for awhile.

My first thought when I read the title: Captain Planet's archenemy!!!!

Seriously? Mudman?

"it’s all about growing up and finding your way in the world, and how the decisions that you make can affect others."

Oh, how original! I have never heard of a comic doing THAT before! (sarcasm)

Can anyone create something fresh and new with superheroes these days?!? GAAWWWD! How far Image has fallen that they actually greenlit a comic of a teenage superhero names "MUDMAN!" smh
Not that I was ever a fan of them anyway, but they had their 15 minutes or so.

Should have gone all politically correct like Marvel and made him Gay and changed his name to Mud-Butt.

@JULEZ13- I was just thinking about creating a superhero with the power to grant mortality to the undead and immortal. Zomibies shall fear him. Let every mortal vampire shudder into ashes! Let gods hide behind their armies! The . . . umm . . . "Remortalizer" has arrived!
