Taking Robert Sheehan's place is Rudy played by Joe Gilgun (Emmerdale, This Is England). He's a young guy given community service and joins the super powered Misfit group.

Matt Strevens (producer of Misfits) tweeted:

"Just broken for lunch on first day’s filming with our fabulous new Misfitter – the wonderful Joe Gilgun. He looks great in orange".


From Channel 4:

New kid on the block Rudy gets a rude awakening in his first few days of community service, learning that with the keys to the infamous locker comes a great deal of running and screaming and, in some instances, bloodletting. But that really is the least of his worries. More pressing is just how to keep his secret superpower, well, secret. And is it super? As in from the A- List?


Robert Sheehan's Nathan character will involve time travel and power dealer Seth, he will exit the series in an upcoming online-only mini-episode.

such a shame about robert sheehan though :/ just wont be the same with out that rude and vile irish charm lol.
joe gilgun is a very talented actor though so hopefully he will bring somthing new to the mix. cant wait for series 3 :) wonder what everyones new powers will be?

emeraldprince @ You can buy season 1 & 2 on Amazon, its an excellent series or just watch it online if you can't find a show broadcasting it!

This show makes me wish I was British.

They're sending Nathan off and introducing Rudy in an online thing set in Las Vegas, aren't they? I've been eagerly awaiting the 3rd outing for this show, read it's going to have more episodes this time around, which is a definite plus.

NO [frick]IN' WAY! That is awesome, I just finished watching "This is England" (film and series) and this guy was the best part, he's hilarious and one of the most likable young actors in Britain.
They actually could not have come up with a better replacement, he'll rule it.

It's really shit that Nathan wont be back he was my favourite, but E4 aren't stupid they were smart casting an actor that most people like. They couldn't have just picked anyone.
