Back in January, Marvels Kevin Feige talked to SFX magazine about Marvels plans for future movies. On the subject of Marvels Cosmic heroes he had this to say...
"I'd love to break into the cosmic side of the Marvel Universe even more — it's kind of there in 'Thor,'" he said.
"J.J. Abrams' 'Star Trek' got me jonesing to do that. It's what I grew up on — 'Star Trek' and 'Star Wars.' I want to do a big space epic. And we've got them in Marvel."
This news sort of flew under most peoples radar. Those that did catch it needless to say, quickly grew excited about the possibilities. Caught up in news about
Iron Man, THOR, Captain America: The First Avenger and any tidbit we, the fans, could get our hands on about
The Avengers, we sort of forgot all about the Cosmic side of things.
Last weekend at Comic Con in San Diego even more little tidbits were released pointing to the fact that Marvel still entertained cosmic plans. During the teaser shown for
Captain America:The First Avenger viewers witnessed The Red Skull Handling The Cosmic Cube. EPIC! The following day, Marvel unveiled The Infinity Gauntlet that they say will be used as a prop in THOR. EVEN MORE EPIC!
Yesterday, our friend and resident scoop hound MultiPurposePoni, reported that his Marvel studios source informed him that Marvel has plans for the Cosmic side of things sooner than we imagined. He stated that
The Avengers would feature (minor) appearances by some of Marvels cosmic heroes, if all goes well.
Well, the excitement factor is at an all time high at this point. The possibilities are virtually endless. So I thought it would be a good idea to get some of the opinions of some of the most knowledgeable fans and readers and see who they would want to see on film.
These polls sadly, will not include Galactus or any of his Heralds due to the fact that they belong to FOX, same with the Super Skrull. I did, however, try to include the big daddy's but there are so many that I'm sure I forgot some of them.
