2012 was arguably the greatest year ever for comic book movies. We not only had Christopher Nolan's epic finale to his Batman trilogy, but geek God Joss Whedon finally brought Earth's Mightiest Heroes to the big screen all in one movie. Throw in Spider-Man's return to the big screen, a damn good Judge Dredd movie and, er, Ghost Rider, and this was quite the year for our favourite superheroes. Well, we asked you which of the superheroes was your favourite and the Caped Crusader was the winner! Hulk made for a surprising second place, while Iron Man was miles behind in third. Honestly, I had a lot of probelms with TDKR. I liked it, dont get me wrong. But im not jumpin on the bandwagon of "ITS THE BEST BATMAN FILM OF ALL TIME!"

batman wasn't a hero in tdkr, a hero doesnt quit for 8 years just to come back and then trick the people of gotham into thinking he's dead

Always wondered where you got your old avatar from!!

As for the poll, this was actually what I expected. The Hulk truly was the best adapted, best acted (Ruffalo/Banner), and most fun!! Unfortunately Batman was just sorta "meh" IMO....only a few real good moments in TDKR. The Hulk stood out the entire time he was on screen as both the Greeb Goliath and as Banner!

Can I just say that Ghost Rider wasn't that damn bad? I waited forever to watch it just because of all the bad reviews, but when I finally sat down and watched it and Green Lantern I was suprised. Its better to watch a movie and expect it to be bad and it be ok than to expect a movie to be awesome and it be ok...LIKE TDKR!

Let me ask this. Why do some of you guys use articles like these as an excuse to attack the Marvel fans? Do you think that makes you superior somehow? Listen, I know some Marvel fans talked s*** about TDKR and Batman before, but if you lash out at them like this, then you're being no better than they were.

the hulk & iron man were my favorite heroes,real heroes don't retire.

the dark knight rises

-retired (8 years)
-come out of retirement
-injured for five months
-come back from injury
-retire once more
