Captain Marvel published by Fawcett Comics and then later DC Comics was created in 1939 by artist C. C. Beck and writer Bill Parker. His character first appeared in Whiz Comics #2 (February 1940), and now many years later you get to see the big red cheese on TV.

Video below and it looks classic Shazam!

LEEE777 - I've grown to love this animated series, pity theres not many articles here at CBM, and it was way better than i ever imagined, if you've not seen it yet check it out. It's well worth a watch and a fun cartoon show too boot! ; )

The clip looks like it will just be one of the small cameo segments before the opening sequence.

I have been watching it regularly on the CN site. It led to an epiphany. People bad mouth all the cameos on Smallville, but it is basically "Clark Kent: The Brave and the Bold" now, which aint bad.

I think it's a good show for younger kids.Adults may find it hard to sit through.That Music Meister episode was painful.

The problem with the Music Meister epi for me was that he kept singing the same lines over and over, I thought the guy's voice was decent, but the repetition was killing me.

Anyone that doesn't like this show either a) has no children or b) has no sense of humor. Not every comic related thing has to be dark. I use this show as an educational tool for my daughter. (Plus, it taught me who OMAC was.)

@Weapon420: You are correct sir!

Nice one Leee, and just imagine, DC COMICS sued this character before, claiming its a rip off of their SUPERMAN.

I absolutely LOVE The Brave and the Bold!!! It's clever, often auite funny, well-written, and imaginative. It's one of the best superhero cartoon series I've ever seen- and I've been watching them since the '70s. My favorite episode so far is the Batmite episode, though the one last week with the Death Race was pretty close. Come on, this show has even made Aquaman interesting and fun!

Agreed with Peterparker420 that Wolverine and the X-Men is also extremely good. Don't care for Iron Teen too much- the faded colors and art style aren't my speed.
