Summer Glau is in New Superhero Show "The Cape"

Summer Glau has done many TV shows in the genre like: "Angel, Firefly, The 4400, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," and even the recent "Dollhouse." So theres going to be another show to add to her growing list. Glau is set to star in NBC's upcoming superhero pilot "The Cape."

Heres what is being reported from The Hollywood Reporter:

In the pilot, directed by Simon West, a former cop (David Lyons) is set up as a criminal and becomes a masked hero, the Cape, to clear his name.

Glau will play Orwell, a cute and intrepid investigative blogger who fearlessly goes after corrupt cops and costumed bad guys.

LEEE777 - Interesting, she is a talented actress so her being in it can only help the pilot/show. I think we all know who she should be playing in a movie or TV series comic book wise, but until then can not wait for this pilot to air and hopefully it makes a series.

@LEEE, damn, that would be hot. She can put her claws in my back any day.
But ehm, the cape is probably gonna flop so freaking fast it will have hit rock bottom like a bird flying into a glass door. Still, she will bring in some viewers.

LEEE : Sorry man, I just don't see her as X-23. When I think of X-23 I still see the first image I ever laid eyes on of her.

Glau just doesn't fit that image in my opinion.

Hawksblueyes@ It's funny how people see things differently. I think Glau is a dead ringer for that picture. Just put a scowl on her face and she is it!

Glau is not only a fantastic actor, but that girl can kick ass!

I could dig her as X-23. But seeing how Fux owns everything X it would get Fuxed up so bad. She would end up with 3 arms and her mutant power would be the ability to kill any comic related movie or show she touched. This would end up in another perfect casting having to be re-booted, imagined or what ever the buzz word that day would be. Thus destroying yet another perfect opportunity to advance any X character beyond Fux's limited understanding of CBMs. Just my take.

I love Summer Glau and I think she is a wonderful actress and all but how long will it take this show to get cancelled? If you havent noticed, any show that Summer Glau has a starring role in has been cancelled after one or two seasons (Firefly, Sarah Connor Chronicles, Dollhouse etc) I know its a funny coincedence and its in no way her fault, but you have to admit, she is a curse on tv shows

But she is damn good looking

Ellen paige is such a horrible choice. That ho needs to stay as Kitty Pyrde. Her main power is annoying with witty cultural reference after annoying cultural reference. Her acting is one dimensional and I see her being more the hero that dies quickly and gives diversion for the REAL good guys to escape then being one her self.
