Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob in the Twilight films, has dissed one of his next roles, Stretch Armstrong.

When all of us first heard Hollywood was going to make 'Stretch Armstrong', we all truly began to think Hollywood had begun scraping the bottom of the barrell (they have, mind you), and as news developed that Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob in the Twilight films, was going to play the role, we all could do nothing but laugh.

A somewhat new video interview from MTV shows Taylor Lautner speaking out a bit about the film, and I have to admit, the film does sound like it could actually be promising...

"It's like the worst superhero power, possibly, to get, and how you're going to take that and use it for good and how you're going to be creative with that [is the predicament]," Lautner told MTV News.

"The awesome thing with toys is it doesn't give you a story line, so you get to create it," Lautner added. "The development process for this movie has been awesome and it's going to continue to be. I just can't wait to see a script."

"Nick [Stoller is] a genius, so I couldn't be happier with the fact that he's writing the script right now," Lautner said. "I just want to see it."

I cant argue with a lot of what Lautner said, 1) Armstrong's powers are ridiculously limiting and 2) Nothing is better then when you can make a superhero movie with no real story behind it, more creativity can be better then following source material sometimes.

Lautner still needs to film 'Abduction', and then 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 & 2', then Lautner will be able to focus solely on 'Stretch Armstrong'. The film will be in 3-D (thank god, a film that actually NEEDS 3-D to work) and is expected to be released in 2012.
