This Is Heavy, Doc! Hoverboard Concept Art For BACK TO THE FUTURE II

Ever since we saw Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) ride a hoverboard in the 1989 film Back to the Future Part II we've been hoping that the imaginary device would one day be real. Yes, we're still waiting. But, here's some concept art that John Bell illustrated.

In 1989's Back to the Future Part II, Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) is chased by Biff's grandson, Griff Tannen, and his gang. In order to getaway Marty borrows a pink-colored hoverboard (Mattel) from a young girl. The scene plays out in similar fashion to the 1950's skateboard scene from the original film.

Getting back was only the beginning as the most spectacular time-travel adventure ever continues in Back to the Future Part II - the sequel that proves that lightning can strike twice! Picking up precisely where they left off, Marty and Doc (Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd) launch themselves to the year 2015 to fine-tune the future and inadvertently disrupt the space time continuum. Now, their only chance to fix the present is by going back to 1955 all over again before it is too late. From the Academy Award-winning filmmakers Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis, Back to the Future Part II proves true excitement is timeless.

Actors: Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, Thomas F. Wilson,
Casey Siemaszko, Billy Zane, Elisabeth Shue & Elijah Wood
Director: Robert Zemeckis

When is the BTTF reboot happening starring Will Smith as Doc Brown and his shitstain son as Marty? A Tyler Perry joint, of course.

@grabass dear god, don't give them any ideas. i don't mind a transformers or a ninja turtles reboot, but a bttf reboot or a ghostbusters reboot? I'll not stand for such blasphemy.

I remember back when I was a kid after this came out rumors circulated that they made real hover boards that required magnetic shoes and some kid died testing it so they never released them

I hope that engineers/scientists have already made this a reality and the company who owns it are just sitting on it until some BIG REVEAL in 2015.

Why the hell do you even care? Remakes never effect the originals. You will still have your old movie.

Awesome stuff! I remember how much I wanted a hoverboard after watching BTTF2.

Gusto's favorite hoverboard is the Barbie one. He says the color pink is fly. ;P
