The comic's central subject is the power known as The Darkness and its wielders. The Darkness is an ageless power dating back beyond human history. It is linked with the Angelus and the Witchblade. The Darkness is passed down a family line from father to son, leaving the previous user (and taking his life) as his first child is conceived. The power then manifests in the child on his 21st birthday.

LEEE777 - Man been waiting for news on this for a long time, this and "Witchblade" could be amazing movies if done right, more comic book less Hollywood. Anyway thoughts below please.

never read the comic but the game was awesome tho, hopefully this will translate well to the big screen.

The Darkness is Awesome!!!
I love the comics & game, Although the more up to date comics are harder to get in the U.k.
Hope a studio takes it on with the right Dark style it could Rock

The Darkness is one of the most badass comic book characters in existence. If the movie is half as good as the book, I will be satisfied. :)

for everyone that has only played the game, you really need to read the comics the game doesn't even have his bad ass armor, there is soooo much more that the game doesn't even begin to touch the awesomeness of the comics... plus he teams up with Witchblade (Sarah Pezzine) a few times and when they get together all hell breaks loose.

Witchblade and the Darkness are in my top 10 fav comic series been reading them both since they started.

NERDGASM ive been waiting for so long for news on The Darkness. Although with something like this I would think it would be more suited to an animated movie 18+ of course.
