Latinoreview.com has gotten a exclusive tip that the top contender and the guy most likely to land the Directors Chair for Robert Rodriguez version of Predator is Nimród Antal.

When I first heard the name I had to chuckle and then learned that Nimrod directed ARMORED and VACANCY and still I was not familiar with Nimrod. I mean with a name like Nimrod one would remember.

Pretty sure no one has signed the dotted line yet but I am sure that Harry over at AICN will be sending a letter to Robert Rodriguez to get the skinny,,er, umm I mean Nimrod,, of the story.

UPDATED: Robert Rodriguez has confirmed that Nimrod has landed the job. Harry Knowles (The man with the mullet) says he breaks bread with Robert Rodriguez and wanted us to know that they talk about alot of stuff including The Predator Franchise.

I'll bet you do Harry! I'll bet you do.

The bar hasn't really been set to high for this franchise. There is still so much potential here and would like to see what Nimrod does and maybe he can get Meathead on board, I mean Arnie, that would be awesome if Dutch came back.

Yeah i was kinda hoping for Marshal. Only because i have seen a few of his movies, i havnt seen Vacancy or Armored, but they dont sound very sci Fi or horror orientated to me! At least we knew Marshal was familiar with the genre.

Apocalypse is EXTREMELY overrated, and as for Sinister, last time I checked... Wasn't he a woman now? Miss Sinister?

Anil... You happen to like the most overrated X-Villain AND a transsexual. Congrats ;)

I hope this and the Aliens prequel is a reinventing of both franchises so it could take our minds off the god awful Alien vs. Predator movies.
