Confessions of a Superhero is a feature length documentary that chronicles the lives of three mortal men and one woman who make their living working as superhero characters on Hollywood Boulevard. This deeply personal look into their daily routines reveals their hardships and triumphs as they pursue and achieve their own kind of fame. The Hulk sold his Super Nintendo for a bus ticket to LA; Wonder Woman was a mid-western homecoming queen; Batman struggles with his anger, while Superman's psyche is consumed by the Man of Steel. Although the Walk of Fame is right beneath their feet, their own paths to stardom prove to be long, hard climbs.

Stan Lee:

"I always felt if I had a super power, there's no way I would wear a costume. I'm a showoff. I'd want everybody to--I wouldn't wear a mask and conceal my identity, and I wouldn't want to look like an idiot in some costume."

Hey, gang, how about that quote from Stan Lee? Kind of lame coming from the guy who created many of today's most enduring comic book characters, huh?

I saw this on the Sundance channel. Very interesting. I dunno how I missed it on the time of it's release, but it was enjoyable to see how these people are dedicated to their fave characters. "Superman's" story was very profound as was the guy masscarading as Batman. I hope they do another one maybe with different people playing other characters.

Its pretty sad-these people all came to Hollywood with big acting dreams and now they are street vendors just holding on. I have been down there and it is pretty cutthroat business with all the different characters trying to $$ from you.

I'm not sure I get why this is for 'mature viewers only'. There isn't anything particularly racy anywhere (the Wonderwoman's kind of hot) and the language really isn't that strong.

Unfortunately I cant see it (dont live in the US) but it sounds pretty good - I'll have to hunt it down online somewhere else!

I can't believed I missed this when it came out. Anyway, this was a very well done film. Props to the director. It was sad and I really did feel bad for them but I enjoyed this movie and it would be cool to see if they do another one.
