Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis star in "Jupiter Ascending," an original science fiction epic adventure from filmmakers Lana and Andy Wachowski. Jupiter Jones (Kunis) was born under a night sky, with signs predicting that she was destined for great things. Now grown, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning other people's houses and an endless run of bad breaks. Only when Caine (Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along—her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos. From the streets of Chicago to far flung galaxies whirling through space, "Jupiter Ascending" is written and directed by the Wachowskis.

Also starring Sean Bean, Eddie Redmayne, Douglas Booth, Tuppence Middleton, James D’Arcy, Tim Pigott-Smith, and Doona Bae, Jupiter Ascending will be released in 3D on February 6th, 2015.

The sure thing is that Jupiter Ascending will be a visual masterpiece. I would like to see Wachowskis one day to direct a movie that will be based on a video game, anime or Green Lantern.

People walked out of the showing at Sundance. Now, most snobs at Sundance can't stand action or comedy movies so it's not that big of a surprise. The big surprise will be if this movie can overcome the bad press and make money. Probably not.

"They are forgetting they are watching a movie targeted primarily to teenage boys. I’m sure those 15-year-old boys, and hopefully girls, will like it."

LMAO!!

Who knows. The opinion of few is not of many. If I can find something cool, then I'll like it. So far, visuals look great! I like Tatum as an actor. So let's see

Can you imagine if star wars was debuted at Sundance?

Isn't one of the Wachowski's a transsexual? What a dysfunctional individual.
But the visuals are great I just have a hard time with Tatum looking like an elf. It's not helping that he is speaking with his regular monotone voice.

I'll give it a chance because I usually like original science fiction films. I'm also anticipating Ex-Machina from what I've heard this film will be one of the highlights of 2015.

I heard the budget was $170 mil, before re-shoots or advertising. Anyone know if this is correct? Just wondering how much this will need to make to break even.

@daddybear
There is nothing "border line" about my comments, in fact there are studies and researches that back it up. I have my beliefs and I'm not compromising them because "it's 2015".

It's the same since the first trailer - I like just about everything except Kunis and probably Tatum in their respective roles.
