Dynamic Forces has teamed up with Mark Millar and co-creator/artist Steve McNiven to host an auction of which the proceeds will go towards a special fund to help handicapped children. The lucky winner will have Nemesis' antagonist, a police officer, named after them.

"Steven and I have had an amazing run of luck with Civil War and Old Man Logan and we're hoping Nemesis will be similarly massive," said Millar.

"To star as a comic book hero is pretty cool and the intense movie studio and production company interest for Nemesis before the book even hits the stands should bode well that whoever wins this auction will get their name out there in many other media, too."

Dynamic's president Nick Barrucci also said, "We're thrilled to help Mark out here with this awesome auction and to raise some much-needed money for a truly worthy cause."

If I had the cash I'd definitely take part in this! Not only is it for a great cause but the chance to be in the movie as well as the comic book would be awesome!! :)

It sucks that these charities want money when most people don't have enough to support their family. I hope they get a good amount.

What sucks Gweedo is we sent millions to Haiti when we have a bad economy and people here who could use the help too. I think that whole charity thing for Haiti is total crap and pisses me off. I'm glad this charity isn't for Haiti.

@InstigatorGIRL - HA! Finally. I'm tired of that too. Yes I sympathize, it sucks that happened to them. But yeah we have homeless people here and people with disabilities that could greatly use that money. We should be throwing charity concerts for those people. Just in the news some girl was doing charity concerts called "McFest" for childern here in the states. McDonalds is sueing her for using a "Mc" name... seriously... they don't already have enough money?

I know its really sad. My arguement for her to use is "So you gonna sue everyone who's last name starts with Mc?" But yes we have needy here and its a slap to the face that America looks after others and not its own!

I just found another quote from Millar about the auction:

"My older brother, Dr. Bobby Millar, works with these children every day and he explained to me what a difference it would make if they could get a new bus."

"Resources are tight at all schools and hospitals in the current economic climate, but we had a great success with the Kick-Ass auction and feel hopeful that comic-book readers will dig deep again and they can build towards this pretty hefty amount of cash they need for the vehicle."

I do believe that the cop character is the protagonist in Nemesis, not the antagonist.

So lemmie get this straight - you're supposed to bid on the right to come up with the main character's name... that's it?! ...and people are paying three grand for this 'privilege' (so far)?!! You're kidding me, right?

Will this comic ever come out, it reminds me of Frank Miller and the Batman graphic novel he has been working on for years Holy Terror, Batman!. I wish that one would come out. I am looking forward to this one though from Mark Millar I like that he is doing something for charity here in the US.
