As we await an official trailer, USA Today has shared a new still from Colin Trevorrow's hotly-awaited Jurassic World: Dominion, featuring a new shot of Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) teaming up with a mysterious new character played by She's Gotta Have It star DeWanda Wise.

It's unclear what they're squaring up against, but it's safe to say it's a more than formidable threat, and looks to be the primary reason behind the team's trip to the arctic tundra. However, while we're surely in for a treat, it's fair to wonder whether the duo's choice of weaponry was the best idea.

The star-studded cast of Dominion will feature Jurassic alums Chris Pratt (Owen Grady), Bryce Dallas Howard (Claire Dearing), 3x Golden Globe-nominee Sam Neill (Alan Grant), Academy Award-winner Laura Dern (Ellie Sattler), Academy Award-nominee Jeff Goldblum (Ian Malcolm), Jake Johnson (Lowery Cruthers), Omar Sy (Barry Sembane), Justice Smith (Franklin Webb), Daniella Pineda (Zia Rodriguez), Isabella Sermon (Maisie Lockwood), and BD Wong (Dr. Henry Wu).

Newcomers to the franchise include Mamoudou Athie (Sorry for Your Loss), DeWanda Wise (She's Gotta Have It), Dichen Lachman (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), and Scott Haze (Venom). Details on their roles are currently being kept under wraps. Campbell Scott (The Amazing Spider-Man) has also joined the cast as Dodgson.

Jurassic World: Dominion is slated to roar into theaters June 10, 2022.

Hopefully this doesn't do the mistake that the Force Awakens made and actually have Neil, Goldblum and Dern in a scene together.

@IronMan616 - that would be a massive missed opportunity indeed

it was a cool clip, but its annoying that they made the oviraptor eat eggs, it was proven years ago that they don't eat eggs, the oviraptor was found in 1923, on top on a nest of eggs. then they thought
the eggs belonged to a Protoceratops, and just asumed the oviraptor was going to eat the eggs when it died
later a discovery of very similar egg containing a tiny Oviraptor skeleton, almost ready to hatch. The egg was found 300 kilometres from the site of the 1923 excavations. that oviratpr they found was protecting her eggs. not eat some others eggs

and the T-rex in the clip has fur or hair. that was also proven many years ago that they had scales and no fur or hair at all. why is it suddenly changed after all these years of the Jurassic park movies?
