JURASSIC WORLD 3 On Course To Begin Filming In February 2020 In London; INDIANA JONES 5 Still Being Scripted

Producer Frank Marshall has shared a promising update regarding Colin Trevorrow's hotly-awaited Jurassic World 3, confirming today that it will indeed begin filming at the beginning of 2020.

Following the billion-dollar success of J.A. Bayona's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Universal was quick to announce a sequel with a June 11, 2021 release date and Colin Trevorrow (Jurassic WorldSafety Not Guaranteed) back in the director's chair. He will also be co-writing the film's screenplay alongside Emily Carmichael (Battle at Big RockPacific Rim: Uprising). 

Now, while speaking with Forbes about the upcoming Jurassic World Live Tour, producer Frank Marshall revealed the threequel is already deep into pre-production and will begin filming in February of next year. “With regards to the next Jurassic World movie, we are in full pre-production at Pinewood Studios in London, England. We plan to begin shooting in February of next year, so that is all very much in motion.

However, as for the long-gestating Indiana Jones sequel, it seems that one may still be a few more years out as they're still working out the script. “As far as the fifth Indiana Jones movie goes, we’re still working on the script.

Jurassic World 3 will see the return of stars Chris Pratt (Owen Grady) and Bryce Dallas Howard (Claire Dearing) from the previous two installments and it was recently confirmed that the original Jurassic Park trio of Sam Neill (Alan Grant), Laura Dern (Ellie Sattler) and Jeff Goldblum (Ian Malcolm) would reprise their iconic roles for the ucpoming sequel as well. Isabella Sermon (Maisie Lockwood) and BD Wong (Henry Wu) are also expected to appear.

Do these studios not realize that time is money and missed opportunities! There has been movie bomb after bomb this year and yet one of the most iconic IP's sits in development hell. Maybe after Indiana Jones dealing with angels from heaven, eastern dark magic, King Arthur, and aliens from another dimension...maybe there is no where else to go!

@Forthas - Except Disney has had eight $1 billion+ films this year, so I don't think they're in so much of a hurry when it comes to poor old Indy.

Treverrow's got zero talent to bring something worthwhile to Jurassic Park franchise. The short film was kinda cool except....it's nothing new. More snarling animals, more screams, zero creativity. Get a real filmmaker in on the game, already
