None of this explains how Khan Noonien Singh turned from a asian Sikh into a English white guy. Should have called the dumb movie Star Trek into Whiteness!

Ceejay, you do realize that "Asian Sikh" was played by a Mexican first time around right? That was ok was it? Long as he's not white?

Anyway, STID was great. Some people I've heard criticizing the plot like movies 10 times as idiotic.

I like to think that maybe Admiral Marcus had Khan's appearance altered for some mission he used him for. And Khan could have spent time in the UK at which time he picked up the accent. There's ways to explain it. I wish they would have actually addressed it in the movie.

You can always tell a Nailbiter article by the opinion inserted in the news piece. That may fly on this site, man, but if you have any journalistic aspirations outside of CBM you gotta quit doing that.

- Ror FTW! Yeah if the original was played by an Indian man I can understand being upset, but if he wasnt played by one, nor even looked like one, in the first place you cant really bitch about that.

The death scene seemed goofy to me. Waaaay too much of a flipped copy of the original. That was the first time ever that i kinda laughed during a death scene in a movie.

they were originally going for a dark skinned actor, benicio del toro almost signed on but negotiations fell through and they cast cumberbatch two weeks before shooting, good thing he turned in a great performance, i really liked into darkness, thought the themes were good, kirks arc was good, the action was great, the acting was great, my problems were spock saying khan was kinda silly and the whole khan blood thing scene could have been done better ,still not as good as 09 for me, but still great.
