Here's a transcript of their conversation with Hitfix:

On the secrecy of the script:

FASBBENDER: "It felt like someone "had a gun to my head" saying "read faster. I was like, 'This is really great. When is it going to fall apart?' And then it just got better and better. It's rare to get intelligent scripts and scripts where you can't really put your finger on what's going to happen 10 pages in and you're not aware of the arcs of the characters or what their journeys are going to be. So, it's a page turner and hopefully it will be like that visually and I'm sure it will be because Ridley's a genius."

THERON:"I was actually in Malaysia during monsoon so I couldn't get reception. (Ridley) said, 'I am emailing you the script now and you have to read it in two hours or it will just implode on itself.' I had two hours to find a hill top in monsoon rain to get reception to read it. So, that was my experience."

On whether Fassbender's android character is good like Bishop in "Aliens" or bad like Ash in "Alien":

FASBBENDER: "No, he's just a good guy. Wouldn't you say [about] David?"

THERON: [Starts twitching]Am I twitching?"

On Theron's character, Meredith Vicker:

THERON: "She is this quiet storm. Initially I thought there was a lot of potential with that character to hide secrets and in that world I can be very scary, because it's not at that level where you can be, 'I'm outta here.' You're stuck on that spaceship. I thought there was something there where we could take your character who is the quintessential suit, the business aspect of how this thing is getting up there, and turn it into something that is a little different. Turn it on its head."

A team of scientists journey through the universe on the spaceship "Prometheus" on a voyage to investigate Alien life forms. The team of scientists becomes stranded on an Alien world, and as they struggle to survive it becomes clear that the horrors they experience are not just a threat to themselves, but to all of mankind.

Prometheus is an upcoming science fiction film directed by Ridley Scott and written by Jon Spaihts and Damon Lindelof. The film stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green and Charlize Theron. The plot follows the crew of the spaceship Prometheus in the year 2085, as they explore an advanced alien civilization in search of the origins of humanity.

Conceived as a prequel to Scott's 1979 science fiction horror film Alien, rewrites of Spaihts' script by Lindelof developed a separate story that precedes the events of Alien, but which is not directly connected to the films in the Alien franchise. According to Scott, though the film shares "strands of Alien's DNA, so to speak", and takes place in the same universe, Prometheus will explore its own mythology and ideas. Principal photography began in March 2011, with filming taking place in England, Iceland, and Spain. Prometheus is scheduled for release between May 30 and June 8, 2012 in various territories through 20th Century Fox.
