New EDGE OF TOMORROW Featurette Takes A Behind-The-Scenes Look At The Epic Final Battle

Tom Cruise's Edge Of Tomorrow was easily one of the best films of 2014, heck, it may have even been the best action/sci-fi film of last few years. A new BTS featurette has been released.

Tom Cruise's latest blockbuster, the critically acclaimed Edge of Tomorrow, got off to a somewhat rocky start at the box office before picking itself up and becoming one of last summer's most welcome sleeper hits grossing over $369M at the worldwide box office. The Doug Liman-directed film, which also co-starred the very talented Emily Blunt, went on to reach an even wider audience when it hit home video, debuting at #1, and managing to make a killing in home video sales raking in another $25-30M.

Check out the brand new featurette, which gives us a behind-the-scenes look at the film's epic final battle that featured Cage, Vrataski, and the J-Squad infiltrating the ruins of the Louvre to hunt down the Omega, below:

Oscar nominee Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt star in Warner Bros. Pictures' and Village Roadshow Pictures' sci-fi thriller "Edge of Tomorrow," under the direction of Doug Liman. The epic action of "Edge of Tomorrow" unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world.

Major William Cage (Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop—forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again…and again. But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Blunt). And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy.

Edge of Tomorrow features:
Director: Doug Liman
Tom Cruise as Lt. Col. William "Bill" Cage
Emily Blunt as Rita Vrataski
Bill Paxton as General Farrell Bartolome
Jeremy Piven as Col. Walter Marx
Brendan Gleeson as General Brigham
Lara Pulver as Karen Lord
Marianne Jean-Baptiste as Dr. Whittle
Jonas Armstrong as Skinner
Kick Gurry as Griff
Kidus Henok as Lewis
Tony Way as Kimmel
Madeleine Mantock as Julie
Dragomir Mrsic as Kuntz
Charlotte Riley as Nance
Franz Drameh as Ford

Edge Of Tomorrow is out on Blu-ray/DVD NOW!

Love this movie. Refreshing and just great spectacle. The way they handled the time travel was so unique and not cliche at all, didn't even mind the constant loops. Actually, looked forward to them. Did not expect it to be as hilarious as it was either.

The movie was great, but it did so poorly at the box office that they essentially re-named it for the DVD/Blu release.

The cover art reads "LIVE. DIE. REPEAT." with "Edge of Tomorrow" in a much smaller font.

Great movie, really enjoyed it. Surprised me with how gripping and entertaining it was.
I don't know why it did not do that well. Perhaps Tom Cruise's reputation affected it.
I might not agree with his personal life but he is an engaging actor.
Also it starred Emily Blunt : )
