First Look At Dave Bautista And The Mercs On The Set Of RIDDICK

The infamous Riddick has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he's encountered. The only way off is for Riddick to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty.

The first ship to arrive carries a new breed of merc, more lethal and violent, while the second is captained by a man whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal. With time running out and a storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won't leave the planet without Riddick's head as their trophy.

Vin Diesel, Karl Urban, Jordi Molla, Katee Sackhoff, Dave Bautista and Bokeem Woodbine are starring in the R-rated follow up.

I like how they're using Johns' father in this and connecting it to the first film.

Bautista is no longer the "monster" he was in wrestlng. He's lost like 80lbs, and has been training in MMA/BJJ for the last few years. He looks nothing like he did in the WWE.

He is actually not a bad character actor. Couldn't see him in a leading role though.

Batista was in that RVD movie "wrong side of town". The movie was horribly horrible, but on Netflix, and Batista was the only good thing about that movie. Im not saying he should play Bane, because that movie franchise requires good acting...ahem ahem. I think with the right direction Batista has potential. Or I don't know shit.

Bautista may look cool, but I hope this is a limited non speaking role. I have seen a few of his attempts at acting and he is terrible. Seriously he makes Vin look Oscar worthy!!!

@r1s1ng0fth3fall

Because Bautista has all of the acting skills of a fig newton. He can look menacing but that's it. The second he tries to act, it's all over but the headshaking and eye-rolling.

There are a lot of pix of Dave Bautista on the web over the years.

Unbelievable what steroids can do, and the deflation after stopped.

Almost science fiction.

bautista has been training in MMA/BJJ for the last several years. His muscle size was acutally a disadvantage. When he left WWE he wanted to pursue MMA.

Contrary to popular belief this was not a Steroid "deflation". He is still in excellent shape just not a muscle bound 300lb gorilla. Before he was in the WWE he was even bigger than his wrestling days by about 40lbs.
