Before taking the helm of the hotly awaited
Jurassic World 3, director Colin Trevorrow is bringing
Jurassic World to the small screen with
Battle at Big Rock: A Jurassic World Short Film, which is set to debut on FX on Sunday, September 15.
It will also be made available online immediately after its television premeire.
While plot details are currently locked away on Isla Nublar, the new short will feature a cast that includes André Holland (
High Flying Bird), Natalie Martinez (
Death Race), Melody Hurd (
Fatherhood) and Pierson Salvador (
Gotham).
Trevorrow directed the short film, utilizing a script from his
Jurassic World 3 co-scribe Emily Carmichael. Larry Fong (
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) served as the cinematographer while Amie Doherty (
Legion) provided the score.
