Concept Art For Cancelled JURASSIC PARK 4 Shows New Look At Hybrid 'Raptorman'

Before the nostalgic and incredibly successful Jurassic World, there was the planned Jurassic Park 4, and boy, did it have some weird ideas. Check out some unused concepts past the jump!

Before Jurassic World capitalized on everyone's nostalgia, a sequel in the Jurassic Park film franchise seemed like a dream. Jurassic Park 3, which came out in 2001, earned a fairly mediocre reception, and Universal tried to develop a fourth film with concepts that would ultimately make it into Jurassic World, though in a much better executed state in that film. One of these concepts was the use of hybrids; unlike Jurassic World, which used the logical scientific concept of splicing dinosaur genes together, Jurassic Park 4 was flirting with the concept of combining dinosaurs with humans, for some inexplicable reason. Now, some new concept art from the planned production has found its way online via concept artist Carlos Huante, who posted them on his instagram page. Huante refers to one of the designs as a "raptorman", showing a militarized dinosaur man that looks utterly ridiculous. Jurassic World may have received a fair share of criticisms, but it's good to know what we could have been delivered instead. What do you think of the concept art? Sound off below!

When ideas become more than just something you just bounce off the proverbial wall . . . You get this sh*t . . . .I bet Carlos couldn't help but laugh as he got payed to draw this horsesh*t.

@sKeemAn - I disliked Jurassic World but I will rewatch that a thousand times over the potential of this. Reeks of "running out of ideas".

It kinda looks like something people allegedly see in some backward town in the country.

For Jurassic Park: terrible idea.

But, as far as a dino/human hybrid design, the bottom image actually doesn't look that bad. Still doesn't fit the Jurassic Universe in the slightest.
