JP3 is terrible, but so is TLW. I've read a lot of opinions, recently, from people who say TLW is better than JP1. Those people were clearly lobotomized at some point in their lives.

I actually like JPIII way more than TLW. Both are mediocre compared to the first though.

The biggest problem with both JP sequels is that they were about people running to escape deadly creatures on an island that they should never have been on in the first place. *Everyone* knows the island is deadly, yet they go to it anyway. (This is in contrast to ALIENS, where the poor colonists were not warned of the danger on the planet and had to be rescued.)

I can accept the premise of JURASSIC WORLD, because they have established a sense of safety in the park. It's much more interesting to see order descend into chaos than to have people voluntarily enter into a dangerous situation and get picked off one by one.

@drdoom

Technically, Ian Malcolm is killed by the T.Rex, but he dies slowly of serious injuries rather than being gobbled up.

And yeah, TLW retcons his death in a fashion just slightly more believable than "it was all a dream."
