JURASSIC WORLD DOMINION - Does The Movie Have A Post-Credits Scene? Here's Your Spoiler-Free Answer!

MCU movies have left us all feeling like we now need to wait through the credits of new blockbuster releases in order to see if there's a little something extra, but what about Jurassic World Dominion?

Jurassic World Dominion has been billed as the epic finale of the Jurassic franchise, though the blockbuster's 31% Rotten Tomatoes score points to critics not quite buying into Colin Trevorrow's vision for a conclusion. Moviegoers appear to feel differently, especially as the threequel boasts an 80% Audience Score and even nabbed an A- CinemaScore after opening in theaters.

While we're not getting into spoilers here, it's impossible to imagine Dominion being where this franchise ends, and Universal Pictures no doubt has big plans for this series moving forward.

A $142 million opening weekend pretty much guarantees another movie, but should you stick around through the credits for a hint about what comes next? Unfortunately, Jurassic World Dominion does not have a post-credits scene.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom did have one, of course, though the difference there was that it was setting the stage for a third chapter. As of right now, there are no plans for a Jurassic World 4. While we're sure Universal does have ideas about where to take this franchise next, the property being put to bed for a time before returning in a new form obviously makes the most sense.

This threequel doesn't offer any hints as to what that might look like. On the plus side, it does serve as a mostly satisfying farewell to both the original and new cast members, and we wouldn't be against seeing another theme park setting or even heading into the future for a post-apocalyptic story where dinosaurs are once again the dominant species.

Jurassic World Dominion is now playing in theaters!

Why is this an article? It's been confirmed this is meant to be the final movie in the franchise. Obviously there's no post credit scene.

@Origame - I mean, post-credit scenes can also just be some random gag or the like, rather than direct sequel set-up.

@FinnishDude - I mean, it's also a franchise that has never traditionally had post credit scenes. Besides, you never see one, even a gag one, for what's intended to be the last one.

Read the wikipedia synopsis yeah that sounds really dumb

The villain is seriously the guy who gave Newmen the shaving cream can in the first movie and the big threat is not the dinosaurs, its locus cloned by these people and that stuff in the trailer is not even a big part of the movie

Talk about a waste of the potential of having dinosaurs loose in the world

@dracula - Saw it yesterday. The theater was packed, but the movie is not good. It was mildly entertaining, but they could have done so much better. It was SOOOOOOOOOOO annoying how everyone would put their hand up in the dinosaurs faces anytime they were around like they were doing jedi mind tricks to them or something. It was silly as hell.

If you think universal is going to let go of Jurassic world franchise then you don't know Hollywood🤡...

Universals cash cow is the fast franchise and Jurassic world.

Get real😐

@AmazingFILMporg - Exactly. If this makes the money the studio wants, they'll do a prequel or something. Anything that brings in another cash cow.

A-? This piece of crap? That's why I don't give a flying [frick] about any kind of audience score. To general audience, even Morbius is a good movie..

As for Jurassic World Dominion, when the credits started I said "finally" and left the theater as quickly as possible. Jurassic Park is one of my favorite movies of all time. It was one of the first movies I saw in theaters when I was 9 years old and I was completely fascinated and terrified by those very real dinosaurs. I'm just so sad it all ended like this.

@Moriakum - not to attack you, but you shouldn't have expected jurassic park out of jurassic world 3. One series had carefully acted movies with grounded plots, while the other geared toward action and unbelievable plot

@Vigor - Believe me, I wasn’t expecting Jurassic Park. But I was expecting at least a competent, enjoyable movie.

@thewanderer - seriously? It’s terrible, I thought the critics went soft on it. The effects are good, the increased practical effects this time helped a lot (although the fact that the t rex scenes look just as good as a movie released 30 years ago isn’t much of an accomplishment) and some of the action scenes were really wel done. But the script was PATHETIC. Alan Grant’s return was pointless and so lazy. The locusts were actually an original idea so I thought that was alright. But my god this movie was awkward and stupid. The villain might as well not have been there, some of the weakest character writing and acting I’ve seen in a blockbuster. He seemed bored to even be there, and had no character. The plot just meandered around retreading things from the previous entries. But some of the scenes were bafflingly bad and lazy. Like they were improvising the dialogue on the spot. This was a really, really poorly made movie.

@connorblaze - agree to disagree on most of that. I do agree with the villain to an extent. They tried to make him quirky and it just didn’t work well.

All I learned today about Jurassic World and post-credit scenes is that Fallen Kingdom had one. Never knew that.

Anyway, there must be a future for Jurassic World. The Xbox showcase just gave us Diesel riding a dino, but I still want that cross-over with F&F.

@Waddles - apparently so. Didn't need one though.

OT: in completely different news though, Dota is getting a third season. Knew we both had problems getting too attached too certain cool characters, so I hope the third season is gonna pull that one on us again.

@Waddles - wait, they did? Missed that one. Glad they did though, since I read the creators had a six or seven season plan
