JURASSIC WORLD Gets The Honest Trailer Treatment

Colin Trevorrow's Jurassic World made a lot of money (to say the least) but it didn't fare quite so well critically. The latest "Honest Trailer" from Screen Junkies takes note of some of the movie's sillier elements, while acknowledging how awesome that final dino-fight was...

Jurassic World is a 2015 American science fiction adventure film directed by Colin Trevorrow, written by Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver and Derek Connolly & Trevorrow and starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. It is the fourth installment of the Jurassic Park series. Set twenty-two years after the events of Jurassic Park, Jurassic World takes place on the same fictional island of Isla Nublar, where a fully functioning dinosaur theme park has operated for ten years. The park plunges into chaos when a genetically modified dinosaur, Indominus rex, breaks loose and runs rampant across the island.

Dear ComicBookMovie, please stick to comic book movies. Why do i feel like I am beating a dead horse with this comment?

Probably because nobody is paying attention. We've always covered movies that also have ties to comics or comic spinoffs - not just stuff that's based on existing comics.

The movie was entertaining enough. Still don't quite get the enormous success it had. Guess people really wanted to see a decent dinosaur movie again.

Most OVERRATED FILM IN HISTORY! Still don't understand how it allowed Trevorrow to get the star wars gig....cause he's a wannabe Spielberg. I enjoyed it but, it's overrated

Since when is a 71% on rottentomatoes not faring well critically? The movie was for the most part a resounding critical and commercial success.

I loved the movie. It was big dumb fun

Okay can anyone honestly make the case that the Raptor/T-Rex team up doesn't just piss excellence? Not to mention the motorcycle chase scene?

Okay, people are saying it's so overrated an not that great. Tell that to the millions of people who saw this films, and all the records that it broke. Doesn't that show that it was at least a decent film? I was going into that film looking for Dinosaur Fights and Chris Pratt Macho-ness. Thats what I got.

"Hmmm yeah the movie about an island full of dinosaurs created by “evil” scientist was supposed to be really deep and make you think about the controversial decision to let all dinosaurs get married and vote. Shame universal didn’t take that route!"

It was a good film. I'll watch it again. It was nostalgic and fun.

Movie was absolutely great. I don't understand how he got the Star Wars gig either, @ComicsBornAndBred...maybe because this movie done absolutely fantastically at the box office and 90% of audiences loved it. Maybe....

@StiltMantis

"underrated" is if it is rated lower than it deserves. even at 71%, jurassic world is rated too high.

I'm like many who believe that this movie wasn't needed at all. The first was "it" and they should've stopped there. No doubt this installment made the big box office and will see another sequel follow...but they really aren't necessary. Kinda like the Fast franchise...

Enough already. Seriously.

@yourdaddy It should be in the 90s. Movies like Fury Road or Avatar are overrated. Jurassic world is vastly underrated.
