If you missed yesterday's poster of Bryce Dallas Howard (Spider-Man 3) facing off with the Indominus Rex, check it out HERE!

Check out the new Mosasaurus poster below and be sure to check back tomorrow for the third and final poster before Monday's trailer premiere!

How has no one brought up the fact that Joss Whedon retracted his tweet where he called this movie "70's sexist"? I thought that'd make for an interesting thread of comments.

the scary thing is that things like that actually existed at some point. something that could swallow a Big White whole.

"the scary thing is that things like that actually existed at some point. something that could swallow a Big White whole."

Actually it didnt, or atleast not at this insane scale. The largest real life Mosasaurus was 18ft long, only 3 times the length of a Great White Shark. The one in this film is a insanely stupid 667.5ft

I mean, i'm all for people enjoying the sillyness and over-sized monsters of this film. Though they are definitely not based on real life dinosaurs.

@ Scarilian

I was just posting the same thing. The Mosasaurus is like 1o times the size it should be in this movie. So much for accuracy.

They were about 50 ft long and ate early whales. The movie one is big but nowhere near the size of the Seattle Space needle, haha. A large Great White is about 18 ft long, and that is a huge one. Jaws was supposed to be 25ft. There were a lot of different species that varied in size but a huge Mosasaur wouldn't be too far off from the movie one, the past was big.

Even though I'm still going to watch it, It's currently quite hard to feel any sort of hype for this movie due to just watching both the new Star Wars and Batman V Superman trailers.

The pedant in me wonders how in the world they managed to acquire Mosasaurus DNA from mosquitoes trapped in amber seeing how, you know, mosquitoes don't live underwater...but the 10 year old in me doesn't give a [frick]! Bring it on!

"They were about 50 ft long and ate early whales."

Nope... no they were'nt. Largest skeleton found is 18m, 59ft long (Accidentally labelled it as 18ft earlier, my bad)

As for the scale you mentioned... please refer to TREY the Explainer's video titled "Jurassic World's 667.15 Foot Long Mistake" In which he helps demonstrate why it is indeed so massively innacurate.
