Hot on the heels of the news that Katee Sackhoff will star alongside Vid Diesel as the female lead in Riddick, Variety report that David Twohy may have found his villain in the form of Jordi Molla, who has already played quite a few villains in Colombiana, Bad Boys 2 and Night And Day..
After coming close to nabbing the coveted villain role in J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek 2," Spanish thesp Jordi Molla is taking his sinister sneer to another sci-fi franchise, as he's in negotiations to play the villain opposite Vin Diesel in David Twohy's "Riddick."
Apparently Molla, if cast, will play a character called Santana, a
"mercenary who heads up an eight-man crew tasked with finding and killing Riddick". Now that gives us a pretty good idea as to the plot of the movie. Sounds to me that we might be looking at a
First Blood type scenario, as Riddick is hunted down and has to adapt to survive and all that. But we shall see.
