In Summer 2013, pioneering director J.J. Abrams will deliver an explosive action thriller that takes Star Trek Into Darkness. When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis.

With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.


Starring Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Benedict Cumberbatch, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, Alice Eve, John Cho, Bruce Greenwood and Peter Weller, Star Trek Into Darkness will hit theatres on May 17, 2013.

i think Benedict will make the best cam villain on 2013, because he is one of my favourite actors of all time, and john harrison ( huh?) sounds like a [frick]ing boss.

@InfiniteMonkey If the villain was the only thing that people cared about in the movies, then people would have liked Alex Cross.

I'm expecting this Khan or whoever he is to be a really good villain.

Uncreative? Yeah your right. They could have created a new character.

But even though some people say it's Khan, I'm not going to believe it, until I see it in theaters.

But if it is Khan, then I think in some ways Abrams is trying to make old school fans happy by seeing a familiar villain. I think it's a mistake and I hope it's one that he doesn't repeat with the New Star Wars movies.

This, Man of Steel and Pacific Rim are my hopes for the summer.

Iron Man was okay, but there needs to be better movies than it or this will turn into last year's summer.

OK every one he can't be Khan. Alright we know that the movies Universe changed at the point when Kirk's father died. That is when Nero appeared so it is safe to say everything up to that point is the same as Spock Prime's universe. Since Khan was born 100 years before Kirk and every one else he still would be out there. So we could possibly see Khan in a future movie.
