I am personally not a Nolanite but we can all agree he is a very good director in general. Now for a quick disclaimer.........not all his movies are spot on or masterpieces.

@ Batmor

I hope it is like Inception, even though Inception made my head hurt the first time around I think that movie is pretty amazing.

@ Tony

There are a lot of great choices for LEX but I actually trust Snyder in his decision for casting Mr. Eisenberg. I am sure Snyder saw something that I or the masses cannot see just yet.

Remember they have these actors do a screen test with certain lines etc..... to get a good feel how that actor may or may not portray the character.

@ Doopie

LOL! I have to disagree, Bay is a genius, he is the only dude that can make a really bad movie and yet it becomes a blockbuster and that movie usually gets sequals......cough, cough, con-man, cough!

"...ultimately, it's this very human story about a father and a daughter."

That's what I love about Nolan's movies. He gets it. He can craft the most visually amazing, most plot-dense, most compelling stories and movies...but he always manages to actually make it about the characters, first and foremost.

Sure, Inception was about dreams and layers and allegories for the actual process of filmmaking and all that. But it was really about a widower learning to let go of the past.

Batman? At its core, it was about a guy learning to deal with his parents' traumatic death and his passion for justice. The Prestige was about the rivalry between two magicians and how that obsession ruined their lives. Everything else is just window dressing compared to the actual emotional centers of the movies.

So Interstellar is going to be great because of the space travel and optimism about exploring and all that...but I can't wait to watch a movie that's really just about a father and his daughter.

It sounds like it, I enjoyed having some debates with my son over Inception so I hope this movie does the same.

My only strike against Nolan is MOS. He shouldn't of chose and Snyder, he lacks the storytelling to control the DCCU, in my opinion.

The premise of this movie sounds very ambiguous, but if anybody can pull off something like that its definitely Nolan.
