With the summer movie season behind us, it's time to start looking ahead at some of this fall's biggest offerings, which, of course, includes Shane Black's The Predator.

The reboot/sequel is due out in theaters next week and following that insane final trailer, the studio has now released an extended TV spot with even more never-before-seen footage that sees a group of ragtag soldiers, led by Boyd Holbrook (Logan) and Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us), being hunted down by both the Yautja and the more vicious Super Predator.

From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black's explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe's most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.

The Predator features
Director: Shane Black
Boyd Holbrook as Quinn McKenna
Trevante Rhodes as Nebraska Williams
Jacob Tremblay as Rory McKenna
Keegan-Michael Key as Coyle
Olivia Munn as Casey Bracket
Sterling K. Brown as Will Traeger
Alfie Allen as Lynch
Thomas Jane as Baxley
Augusto Aguilera as Nettles
Jake Busey as Sean Keyes
Yvonne Strahovski as Emily McKenna
Niall Matter as Sapir
Edward James Olmos in an undisclosed role

The Predator resumes the hunt September 14

Another good tv spot from this film, this and the final R-rated trailer have reinstilled some hope for this film.

@knocturnalzen10 - After The Predator, I think the next two movies I may see are Overlord and/or Halloween.

On topic! Poster is really awesome, the movie is growing on me a bit more and more. Love the cast and director, but the short run time really is bugging me.

1h 47m is so short now for films in my opinion.

@Menks123 - True, but it seems fairly long for a modern horror film.

Looks good to me. Predator (not AVP) hasn't let me down so far. Of course I love the original. I remember buying tickets for Rocky V and then sneaking into Predator 2 at the cinema because we were underage. Very entertaining sequel. And sure Predators didn't exactly do anything new despite the setting but I enjoyed myself. I'm ready to do it again and I'm a Shane Black fan (yes I did like Iron Man 3), so bonus.

This TV spot is much better than the last few. High hopes for this one. Don't let us down, Black.

Give us the whole plot already. They should have kept the concept of the super predator under wraps. Now is just another film that ruins the experience for the people who were a bit interested in watching this movie.
