Typical. A stupid director leaves out a good scene that explains why they chose Murphy in the first place.

Of course let's delete the most important scene and don't answer on all people's questions about this f**ng hand. Creators of this movie are the most stupid toads ever. And all remakes of brilliant Paul Verhoeven's movies must burn in hell with all their stupid creators. Next step is sh!tty PG-13 Starship Troopers, could it be so bad as Total ReSh!t and RoboSh!t? Yes, it will be even worse! 100% information, I'm from future, I know it.

We already know why they kept his right hand. It was so the public knew a human was pulling the trigger. OmniCorp kept the only body parts they needed. They didn't have to reduce him to a head, heart, lungs, and hand. That shows you how evil OmniCorp was. They literally stripped Murphy of his humanity.

Movie handled the metaphysical and emotional part of being turned from a man into machine well. More action is needed next time and a better villain

I enjoyed this movie too. I can see why they cut it. The reasoning to keep his hand is retarded.

That's funny I watched this not 5 minutes ago. Paid 12.99 for the Blu Ray. Not a bad reboot in many ways better than the original.

This was actually a good reboot. I was pleasantly surprised at how well they handled the emotional side of Murphy. I never really cared about his hand, I just assumed they wanted to at least keep some part of his body for his human side.
Keaton got the serious pimp walk at the end. love it.
