Next week marks the launch of the official Black Series Most Wanted! The project is a coordinated effort by Black Series content creators to engage collectors and enthusiasts across the globe to list their top 12 most wanted Black Series figures. The line is known for delivering definitive representations of iconic characters in Star Wars, but even after 12 years and constant reissues and re-dos with updated tooling, there are still gaps in many collections.
The Black Series Most Wanted, which you can follow here, was started by a motley crew of collectors on YouTube and Instagram just this month. Starting on December 1st, 2025 fans, enthusiasts, and collectors alike can submit their top 12 most desired figures in the lines. Anything, and anyone, goes - re-dos of previously released figures, main characters, alternate appearances, accessories, and even beloved "Glup Shittos," notable, nameless background characters that are iconic. At the end of the submission period, results will be codified for a definitive, fan-generated list of the top 12 most wanted figures in the Black Series. You can check out a more detailed description of the project here.
This is no mere fan project just for fans. That’s right, the team over at Hasbro will be paying attention. Hasbro Black Series marketing figure Brandon recently revealed in a recent stream appearance with SithLord229 that the team is regularly inspired by fans regarding what figures to bring to the line. While there's no guarantees, fans have Hasbro's ears.
Without further ado, let's take a look at the Spaceport’s top 12 most wanted Black Series figures! For context, I collect Mandalorians, Jedi, and Sith, so this list will certainly reflect that. However there will also be some nominations I want to see in the line for the community though maybe not necessarily for my shelf. All nominations are of course to have modern tooling and articulations scheme we’ve come to expect from new figures to include butterfly joints, barbell jointed necks, deep cut single-pinned joints, ball jointed wrists, and all necessary accessories.
12. Darth Traya: Kreia, or as she would be revealed to be Darth Traya, is an iconic character from Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) II: The Sith Lords. Former master to Darth Revan himself and mastermind behind the Sith Triumvirate, she had a deep hatred for the Force itself and sought to destroy it. Frankly, I find her character to be obnoxious. However, like many of her KOTOR costars, she is iconic and absent from the line.
11. Darth Vader: I know what you’re probably thinking: “there’s already 1,000 Vaders in the line.” Yes, and that’s why he’s not higher on the list. He’s in desperate need of a redo with modern…well everything. He is also nearly seven feet tall canonically, so he is under scaled in all his iterations in the line. Since he has slightly different appearances in each film, we could have an adjustable cape and tabard to place under or over his shoulders, alternate helmets, alternate shoulders, and alternate heads for Hayden Christiansen or Sebastian Shaw.
10. General Grievous: General Grievous is another character that would make an amazing figure if he were done right. He’s made several appearances in the line however is severely under scaled. The sculpt also lacks sturdiness and feels almost fragile in the hand, and thus has a hard time standing on his own. A sturdy, to scale remake of Grievous is much needed in the line.
9. Stellan Gios: Stellan is a deep cut fan favorite from the High Republic initiative. A shining example of what a Jedi should be - compassionate, selfless, and courageous - Stellan strikes me as a mix between Obi-Wan and Captain America. Hasbro has proven that they can execute High Republic robes very well with Dagan Gera, mixing both robes and gold inlays in the tunics and ornate designs. There needs to be more unique Jedi depictions, and High Republic is a great avenue for that
8. Mandalorian Neo Crusader: If you played KOTOR and KOTOR II at all back in the day, you remember these guys littering the game. They were quite the formidable foes for the galaxy during the Mandalorian Wars, taking the galaxy to the brink of destruction until Revan led the counter charge. They’re commonly seen in red, blue, and yellow armor which fosters an assortment of reissues with different loadouts.
7. Darth Nihilus: Like Vader, Nihilus has already been released in the line, however he was done so dirty. While the head sculpt is accurate with a flowing cape to reflect the billowing husk of energy he really is, he is on the old Darth Maul body meaning his articulation is terrible and he is terribly under scaled. Collectors can make do with a head swap to a Kylo Ren figure, but we need a complete redo to do justice to the Lord of Hunger.
6. Gar Saxon: Gar Saxon played a pivotal role in Rebels, but its his appearance in the Clone Wars’ the Siege of Mandalore where he turned heads. His “mauldalorian” armor stood out with a striking yellow visor. This is a look that is much needed in the line, and with the unfortunate passing of Ray Stevenson who voiced Saxon, an accurate likeness to the actor would be a fitting and touching tribute.
5. Canderous Ordo: Whether to fill the cockpit of the Ebon hawk or to fill the ranks of our Mandalorian shelves, Canderous can appear either in his KOTOR bounty hunter appearance or his KOTOR II appearance as Mandalore the Preserver. As a Mandalorian collector, I would almost prefer his KOTOR II look, as it would add some differentiation and show off more time periods.
4. Carth Onasi: While there’s probably little demand for the full crew of the Ebon Hawk, Carth would at least complete KOTOR’s go-to companions with Bastilla being released in 2023. Either way, he probably doesn't want to talk about it.
3. Light Side Starkiller: If we can have two releases of Starkiller from Force Unleashed, we need his appearance from Force Unleashed 2! I would even go as far to have him be called Galen Marek on the box. He has no shortage of costumes and outfits in the game, but either his TIE Fighter disguise or the outfit in the game's reveal trailer would be best. Accessories would ideally include alternate blades and lightning effects.
2. Darth Scion: Darth Sion is the final member of the Sith Triumvirate. He was one of three villains in KOTOR II and was as powerful as he was philosophical. While he had a deep hatred for Kreia, he had an equally deep admiration for Meetra Surik, the game’s playable character. With his grey, scarred skin and blind eye, he held his body together by sheer hatred. An accurate representation of his KOTOR II depiction would bring a lot of presence to any collector’s shelf.
1. Durge: Durge was first introduced in Gendy Tartakovsky’s 2003 Clone Wars 2D animated show where he faced off against Obi-Wan Kenobi. A Gen’dai, his anatomy is made up of regenerative tentacles that make him extremely hard to kill and a formidable adversary for anyone in his way. While he trained in Mandalorian tactics and strategy, he had a deep disdain for Mandalorians and adorned his armor in their symbols to mock them as he hunted them. While much of his lore is in Legends, he was recently canonized in Doctor Aphra. An imposing character, a Durge figure would need the full works. Accessories on the scale of Marvel Legends Maximum line, to include blasters, chain guns, his jetpack thrusters, grenades, and alternate appendages and/or removable armor pieces to show off his Gen’dai anatomy. At nearly nine feet tall, he would need to be to scale, towering over most 1:12th scale figures at nearly 8.5 inches.
There we have it! As you can see there are trends in this selection leaning towards Legends continuity and gaming. That’s what I grew up with, and any most wanted list would need to include at least some of these deep cut characters. In this case it's nearly the whole list!
