RUMOR: Linda Hamilton And Michael Biehn Also Set To Return For TERMINATOR 5?

While the source itself is questionable, a new report claims that original Terminator stars Linda Hamilton (Sarah Connor) and Michael Biehn (Kyle Reese) will return alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger for the Alan Taylor helmed Terminator 5. It IS supposed to be a reboot, right?!

The fifth instalment in the Terminator franchise is set to be directed by Thor: The Dark World's Alan Taylor, and it's thought that it will be a reboot of sorts, kicking off a new standalone trilogy of movies. Arnold Schwarzenegger has said numerous times that he's planning on returning, despite the fact that it makes little to no sense how the 66 year old actor could possibly reprise the role of The Terminator (which has also led to reports that the movie will be set in the 1950s, with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson taking on a lead role). Either way, The Mirror now claims that Schwarzenegger will be paid $20 million to return, while Linda Hamilton and Michael Biehn will join him. Try getting your head around THAT, continuity buffs! Anyway, while it's best to take this report with a gigantic pinch of salt for the time being, it certainly leads to some interesting possibilities. Their sources apparently tell them that, "Paramount have hired Taylor because of the way he mixes extreme action with dynamic story telling. While these movies are are about action, their success has been down to the exchanges between the robot and men." What do you guys think?

Kyle resse didn't die he just proceeded to get old as hell and live in seclusion. Why doesn't the dumb ass skynet just send the terminator to the old west to increase its chances of winning? Or send an army back?

Im sure with Taylor directing now, the whole previous story of The Rock and movie set in the 1950's is out the window now, which im kind of glad. Let Taylor do what he does and im sure well get an awesome film, happy to hear about Beihn and Hamilton returning to the franchise as well.

Michael Biehin should be "bigger" than he is today.

This should be the final film

We see the end of the war and the terminator finally kill kyle Reese. Sarah Connor is basically flashbacks before she dies.

I think when they say reboot, they mean they will do a Star Trek and create a new timeline. One where both Kyle Reese and Sarah Connor are still alive perhaps

I do not need to have "the old gang" back. I would rather the franchise moved forward.

But I would rather have a 100-year old Schwarzenegger than The Rock. The Rock is already ubiquitous enough in Fast & Furious, G.I.Joe and so forth. Enough of this geology, already.

And hey, you can't argue with Linda Hamilton. She owns it.

Either two things will happen, either Biehn and Hamilton are playing Sarah Connor's grandparents, or a new alternate universe happens where Kyle lives and T2, T3, and TS is changed after that event. There is one more possibility, Sarah goes back in time to save Kyle in the first film, using the time displacement equipment somewhere before she dies.

It would be interesting to see old Sarah back in that same Cyberdyne Systems Factory from 1984. Saving herself and Kyle Reese, either behind the scenes without young Sarah noticing, or right in front of her.

Also I cant blame the Rock, he's trying to his name into everything Fast and furious, G.I. Joe, then trying to get in Star Wars, Terminator, even talk to Marvel about wanting to play Luke Cage

Paramount is probably looking at Disney and how they are bringing in the old actors for Star Wars, and figured they could do the same with Terminator.

Doesn't stand a chance if hey keep getting old people to star in it. Either reboot properly or don't bother flogging this dead horse. Past the T1000 in Judgement Day there hasn't been a single interesting movie let alone threat to build around a movie. This was never meant to be a franchise so give it up!
