How Many Post-Credits Scenes Does SHAZAM! FURY OF THE GODS Have? Here's Your Spoiler-Free Answer

Following screenings of Shazam! Fury of the Gods, we now know how many post-credits scenes there are, and you can find out whether it's worth sticking around here. And don't worry, there are no spoilers!

Shazam! Fury of the Gods arrives in theaters next Friday, and while there's a lot of uncertainty surrounding the title character's future in the new DCU, those social media reactions have definitely increased excitement.

While it doesn't sound like the Shazam! sequel necessarily reinvents the wheel, it's been described as a more ambitious movie than its predecessor and one that, if nothing else, is a lot of fun. Whether that will be enough to boost those dismal opening weekend projections is another matter altogether, and it could end up being a well-reviewed flop.

We'll be sticking around through the credits regardless as a fan who caught an early screening in London has confirmed there are two post-credits scenes in total.

It sounds like the stingers might tease what comes next for Shazam, and while James Gunn has also praised the movie, no decisions about the Big Red Cheese's role in the DCU have been made yet. However, with Henry Cavill, Dwayne Johnson, and possibly even Gal Gadot all ousted, we're not holding out hope that Zachary Levi is asked to stick around...

Shazam! Fury of the Gods continues the story of teenage Billy Batson who, upon reciting the magic word "SHAZAM!," is transformed into his adult Super Hero alter ego, Shazam.

Bestowed with the powers of the gods, Billy Batson and his fellow foster kids are still learning how to juggle teenage life with having adult Super Hero alter-egos. But when the Daughters of Atlas, a vengeful trio of ancient gods, arrive on Earth in search of the magic stolen from them long ago, Billy - aka Shazam - and his family are thrust into a battle for their superpowers, their lives, and the fate of their world.

The sequel's cast includes Zachary Levi as Shazam, Asher Angel as Billy Batson, Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy Freeman, Adam Brody as Super Hero Freddy, Ross Butler as Super Hero Eugene, Meagan Good as Super Hero Darla, D.J. Cotrona as Super Hero Pedro, Grace Caroline Currey as Mary Bromfield/Super Hero Mary.

Djimon Hounsou returns as the Wizard, while Rachel Zegler, Lucy Liu, and Helen Mirren have all joined the movie as newly created villains.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods is set to be released on March 17, 2023.

The next adventure of Chuck & the checkbox brigade. No thanks. I doubt I'll bother with this garbage even when it's free on TV.

I don’t think I’ll ever accept the original Captain Marvel’s name change to Shazam. I get it, and why they did it. But I don’t like it. I haven’t watched the first one, or many comics including him since the change. Does he revert back to Billy, or change into Shazam when he tells people his name?

Maybe it's my age but I dont understand the hate for this franchise. Just seems like alot of anti-DC propaganda. The movie is probably no Citizen Kane but looks like solid family fun. (A good enough reason to go to the movies) Does every movie have to trigger an epiphany? I think most of you negative posters need therapy.

@Baf - Maybe. I was mostly into the first one minus the lame villain, but the marketing so far for this hasn't looked good to me. Whatever restart Gunn and company have planned dampers some of the fun too but I'm excited for Flash because that one looks like it will be a blast.

@thedrudo - I do not disagree with anything you said. I'm looking forward to The Flash too. And a good point about Gunn's new role dampening the fun. I have to think the answers are all in the ultimate scapegoat...multiverse

What’s all the hate about? First one was pretty good. Same director. Should be a bit of fun.

I get the universe is dead or dying only to be rebooted and the villains sound lame but if you dragged your sorry ass out to see Venom you better shut up and go watch this lol.
