We'd been reliably informed that a second trailer for Shazam! Fury of the Gods would be with us this week, and Warner Bros. Brazil has now confirmed that a new look at the DC Comics sequel will be released online tomorrow.
The accompanying teaser promo doesn't contain any new footage from the movie, but does feature star Zachary Levi in-costume as "Captain Sparkle Fingers" himself.
Recently, Levi responded to the rumor that he, along with pretty much every other pre-DCU actor, would be parting ways with their respective roles as James Gunn and Peter Safran map-out their 10-year plan for the Warner Bros. Discovery/New Line franchise.
Despite initially seeming confident that he'd be sticking around as the hero, Levi would later admit that he wasn't actually sure what the future will hold.
We'd be very surprised if Gunn and Safran were to pick and choose who stays and who goes, so we'd place our bets on a full reboot - which means Fury of the Gods will likely be the last we see of Levi as Shazam.
From New Line Cinema comes Shazam! Fury of the Gods, which continues the story of teenage Billy Batson who, upon reciting the magic word “SHAZAM!,” is transformed into his adult Super Hero alter ego, Shazam.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods stars returning cast members Zachary Levi (Thor: Ragnarok) as Shazam; Asher Angel (Andi Mack) as Billy Batson; Jack Dylan Grazer (It Chapter Two) as Freddy Freeman; Adam Brody (Promising Young Woman) as Super Hero Freddy; Ross Butler (Raya and the Last Dragon) as Super Hero Eugene; Meagan Good (Day Shift) as Super Hero Darla; D.J.
