SHAZAM! FURY OF THE GODS - Get An Official Look At [SPOILER]

Warner Bros. has now officially released the TV spot for Shazam! Fury of the Gods that featured a pretty major DCU cameo. You probably know who we're referring to, but just in case, spoiler warning!

A TV spot for Shazam! Fury of the Gods that spoiled a certain cameo was recorded and posted online earlier this week, and Warner Bro. has now shared an official version.

If you don'tr want to know which character we're referring to and how the factor into the movie, read no further!

Final spoiler warning.

As many of you will no doubt be aware by now, Wonder Woman shows up towards the end of the movie - and yes, she is played by Gal Gadot. Earlier reports that the Shazam! sequel featured a "fake Wonder Woman" were also true, however, as Billy Batson dreams that he goes on a date with Diana, who is only shown from behind.

The Wizard then infiltrates Billy's mind to warn him about the Daughters of Atlas, and we get a pretty bizzare shot of Djimon Hounsou's face on the Amazon's body!

Gadot's actual Diana appears after the final battle, and uses her God-like abilities to power-up the staff and resurrect a fallen hero. Shazam hits on the Justice Leaguer, who tells him to "focus on saving the world."

Check out the spot and a couple of screenshots below.

Bestowed with the powers of the gods, Billy Batson and his fellow foster kids are still learning how to juggle teenage life with having adult Super Hero alter-egos. But when the Daughters of Atlas, a vengeful trio of ancient gods, arrive on Earth in search of the magic stolen from them long ago, Billy—aka Shazam—and his family are thrust into a battle for their superpowers, their lives, and the fate of their world.

From New Line Cinema comes Shazam! Fury of the Gods, which continues the story of teenage Billy Batson who, upon reciting the magic word “SHAZAM!,” is transformed into his adult Super Hero alter ego, Shazam.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods stars returning cast members Zachary Levi (Thor: Ragnarok) as Shazam; Asher Angel (Andi Mack) as Billy Batson; Jack Dylan Grazer (It Chapter Two) as Freddy Freeman; Adam Brody (Promising Young Woman) as Super Hero Freddy; Ross Butler (Raya and the Last Dragon) as Super Hero Eugene; Meagan Good (Day Shift) as Super Hero Darla; D.J. Cotrona (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) as Super Hero Pedro; Grace Caroline Currey (Annabelle: Creation) as Mary Bromfield / Super Hero Mary; Faithe Herman (This Is Us) as Darla Dudley; Ian Chen (A Dog’s Journey) as Eugene Choi; Jovan Armand (Second Chances) as Pedro Pena; Marta Milans (White Lines) as Rosa Vasquez; Cooper Andrews (The Walking Dead) as Victor Vasquez; with Djimon Hounsou (A Quiet Place Part II) as Wizard.

Joining the cast are Rachel Zegler (West Side Story), with Lucy Liu (Kung Fu Panda franchise) and Helen Mirren (F9: The Fast Saga).

The superhero sequel is set to hit theaters on March 17, 2023.

Say what you will about Gadot's acting, but I think they'll be hard pushed to find a better-looking Wonder Woman.

@RorMachine - acting wise it will be easy but I do agree they might have a hard time finding someone better looking, that being said they don’t really need to.

@Taonrey - I actually think she's decent as Diana... awful in everything else I've seen her in though.

@RorMachine - My wife is a bit of a jealous type (not too crazy, but definitely doesn't like it when I gawk at celebrities). Well, she finds out that me and every other man are crazy about Gal Gadot (not gonna lie, especially in the WW costume). Anyway, we go to see the first WW in theaters and about half way through the movie she gets all huffy and sighs. I look at her and go "what's up?!"

She says, all pissed off, "[frick]! She doesn't even have a bad angle. Even I have a crush on her now."

The marketing people are clearly trying to drum up excitement by showing off the cameo. Kind of the same shit they started (less obviously) with Superman showing up in Black Adam.

They know their expected numbers are low!

Hopefully this makes more than BA, but I'd put it on par with how much the first one made.

First Cavill's Superman showing up in Black Adam, now Gadot's Wonder Woman showing up in Shazam, and Affleck' Batman showing up in The Flash next makes me kinda miss it that we didn't get to see the three of them together one last time.

This is going to bomb and I’m glad. Bad movies making money = more bad movies.
