A TV spot for Shazam! Fury of the Gods that spoiled a certain cameo was recorded and posted online earlier this week, and Warner Bro. has now shared an official version.
If you don'tr want to know which character we're referring to and how the factor into the movie, read no further!
Final spoiler warning.
As many of you will no doubt be aware by now, Wonder Woman shows up towards the end of the movie - and yes, she is played by Gal Gadot. Earlier reports that the Shazam! sequel featured a "fake Wonder Woman" were also true, however, as Billy Batson dreams that he goes on a date with Diana, who is only shown from behind.
The Wizard then infiltrates Billy's mind to warn him about the Daughters of Atlas, and we get a pretty bizzare shot of Djimon Hounsou's face on the Amazon's body!
Gadot's actual Diana appears after the final battle, and uses her God-like abilities to power-up the staff and resurrect a fallen hero. Shazam hits on the Justice Leaguer, who tells him to "focus on saving the world."
Check out the spot and a couple of screenshots below.
Bestowed with the powers of the gods, Billy Batson and his fellow foster kids are still learning how to juggle teenage life with having adult Super Hero alter-egos. But when the Daughters of Atlas, a vengeful trio of ancient gods, arrive on Earth in search of the magic stolen from them long ago, Billy—aka Shazam—and his family are thrust into a battle for their superpowers, their lives, and the fate of their world.
From New Line Cinema comes Shazam! Fury of the Gods, which continues the story of teenage Billy Batson who, upon reciting the magic word “SHAZAM!,” is transformed into his adult Super Hero alter ego, Shazam.
